Highlight of my trip to NYC. So delicious. Worth to travel miles because customer service is perfect, food is so delicious. As an added bonus, our Saturday evening included live music and DJ.
The Lights of Baku was an excellent choice for our wedding celebration in Brooklyn.
Throughout the planning process, Tarik was extremely helpful with both the menu selection and table arrangements, making everything organized and stress-free. Roma and the entire team created a warm and welcoming atmosphere from start to finish.
The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The service was equally impressive: attentive, professional, and well-coordinated throughout the event.
A special mention also goes to the singer Volodya, whose captivating voice and wide repertoire added a wonderful touch to the evening.
Highly recommended for weddings, family celebrations, and special events.

Celebrating my mother's 80 anniversary was a blast! Personalized service and attention from the owner throughout the evening was very appreciated.
Food was super delicious, and all our guests liked it. Live music songs could have been a bit more modern, but I understand the clientele that evening was mostly over 50.
Overall I highly recommend Ogni Baku.

We had a banquet at “Ogni Baku” in Brooklyn. Overall, the experience was positive. The food was delicious - especially the fish with shrimp, which was absolutely outstanding. The atmosphere was warm and festive, and the service was attentive and well organized.
However, the music experience was very disappointing. The musicians seemed disengaged and not very welcoming to guests. Charging $20 per song felt excessive, and the overall attitude came across as unprofessional.
I hope this aspect can be improved, because the restaurant itself is really nice and worth visiting for the food and service.

The food was not bad, the waiters were good. The interior of the restaurant was old. The horrible part was the musicians. Very bad experience (. We will not go there again ever !

Love this place and always have a good time. The food is great and so is the vibe. I’ve had amazing service from the management and the singer Vova. They are always very accommodating. Interesting review from @korolevakrasoti. Your name doesn’t match your photoshopped picture and I see you have a microphone in your pic. Could it be you’re a wannabe singer just hating on people who actually can? I’ve seen your other reviews of Russian restaurants and you just sound like a hater with an elevated self esteem.

I love everything about this place — from the moment you walk in, it feels like home. The food is absolutely delicious, full of flavor and comfort. The workers are kind, and the owners are always happy to help with anything you need.
One of the best parts is the music. Whatever you ask for, they’ll play it with a smile, creating the perfect atmosphere for any mood or celebration.
The space itself is very comfortable — great for a simple meal, a takeout order, or sitting down with friends and family. Whether you’re planning something small or hosting a big gathering, the restaurant can accommodate all your needs.
Light of Baku is warm, welcoming, and full of heart. A place you’ll want to return to again and again.

If you’re looking to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of true Baku, experience warm Azerbaijani hospitality, and enjoy exquisite cuisine, "Ogni Baku" is the perfect place.
The first thing you notice is the authentic interior, transporting guests to the Baku of the Soviet era. The décor, featuring elements of the old city, traditional patterns, and warm tones, creates the feeling that you’ve stepped into a cozy Baku eatery from the past. Every detail is carefully thought out, capturing the history, traditions, and vibrant culture of Azerbaijan.
Of course, the real highlight is the food. The dishes are prepared according to traditional recipes, using fresh and high-quality ingredients. The kebabs, dolma, kutabs, saj dishes, piti—everything is served with attention to flavor and authenticity. The plov (pilaf) is especially remarkable—each grain of rice is perfectly cooked, fragrant, and full of rich taste. And don’t miss out on the aromatic tea with baklava—it’s an absolute delight!
Service at "Ogni Baku" is exceptional: the staff is welcoming, attentive, and happy to help you choose dishes, especially if you’re new to Azerbaijani cuisine.
This restaurant is a true gem for those who appreciate places with soul and character. It’s the kind of spot where you want to take your time, savor every bite, and soak in the nostalgic ambiance of old Baku. We’ll definitely be coming back!
