This establishment stated that they were open til 9:30. I walked into the place at 9 the cook was nice the owner was very nasty. The cook offered to fry the fish that I wanted while the owner tried to explain that they closed at 9 while online stated 9:30. After me explaining to him that it stated otherwise online. He told me that he did not want my business and that he will not be turning the grill back

Went for Mothers Day and the food was tasty. Had fish and Grits, just wish they were more cheese. Overall, was very good and will be back soon.

On Sunday a group of ladies decided to dine at this location and the experience was not great. One person ordered spare ribs and it taken the waitress at least twenty minutes to let her know that they were out of ribs. The cook left the restaurant twice and went out to make a purchase of some milk.He nevered acknowledged that that we were waiting patiently for our food.We sat there for about at least an hour and a half and nevered received any food, so we decided to leave.I would not go back.

Our large family (party of 14) arrived at The Southern Comfort after a funeral service and we were superbly served. We all loved the food and we practically ordered everything on the menu: fried whiting, Obama salmon burger, bbq chicken & ribs, shrimp, sweet potato waffles, codfish fritters, rolls, po’boy sandwich, sangria, etc. Our server, LaToya, was professional and attentive. We’re very glad we chose to come to TSC!

We took my daughter to Southern Comfort to celebrate her birthday yesterday (4.20.22). The food was really good. The Soooul Roll, potato salad and roasted salmon is a must try. Absolutely delicious! I'll be back 2 try the weekend brunch menu soon. We were not disappointed with our choices.

FINALLY! A place in the Stuy where I will return to purchase soul food. I ordered the Obama Salmon Burger with vegan greens and sweet potatoes and the tropical lemonade. I cleaned my bowls and drained my glass. The greens were tender and savory. The yams were not the best I've eaten, but I would order them again when I return. Even though the dining room is not large, I didn't feel cramped and I dined with a party of six. I tasted the mac n cheese. Totally worth it to order it. My young son ordered the fried shrimp that he enjoyed so much that he was eating the shell on the tail. Maybe he was hungry?Lovely service, comfortable atmosphere, tasty and satisfying food.

I had checked out the reviews and was quite pleased with the food. Everything tasted so good!! I hope to return on my trip back to NY!Our hostess was attentive and sweet. My only complaint was that no one said “thank you for coming or good night” when we left. Let’s support our community. You must try their food!

The cod fish fritters and soul roll were good. My salmon burger was just ok, my friends salmon salad the same. Seems like the takeout is the main focus.

One of the most amazing restaurants I’ve had the pleasure to visit while in the Bedford Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn. Please keep servicing the community. The waffles were amazing that I tried, alongside the fried chicken. It gave me the home away from home feeling. The staff was amazing really was extremely efficient with taking my order and the arrival of my food. I wish you guy’s all the best. My first stop to grab a bite whenever in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn.
