Our large family (party of 14) arrived at The Southern Comfort after a funeral service and we were superbly served. We all loved the food and we practically ordered everything on the menu: fried whiting, Obama salmon burger, bbq chicken & ribs, shrimp, sweet potato waffles, codfish fritters, rolls, po’boy sandwich, sangria, etc. Our server, LaToya, was professional and attentive. We’re very glad we chose to come to TSC!
We took my daughter to Southern Comfort to celebrate her birthday yesterday (4.20.22). The food was really good. The Soooul Roll, potato salad and roasted salmon is a must try. Absolutely delicious! I'll be back 2 try the weekend brunch menu soon. We were not disappointed with our choices.
FINALLY! A place in the Stuy where I will return to purchase soul food. I ordered the Obama Salmon Burger with vegan greens and sweet potatoes and the tropical lemonade. I cleaned my bowls and drained my glass. The greens were tender and savory. The yams were not the best I've eaten, but I would order them again when I return. Even though the dining room is not large, I didn't feel cramped and I dined with a party of six. I tasted the mac n cheese. Totally worth it to...
