Excellent atmosphere and the Cuban was great. Definitely the kind of small business neighborhood atmosphere you’d want in a local cafe.

Came in for breakfast and it was a decent spot. The food we picked (neither of us got the Cuban) was good, but great. The chai latte was definitely overpriced for what was basically a glass of milk.
I'd try it again if I'm nearby and hungry, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

They're nice here, day cafe vibes for working out of the house.

I got the chicken noodle soup and the beef picadillo empanada. Both items were unfortunately very bland/flavorless. Kinda like what you'd get at a nursing home instead of an actual Cuban joint ?‍♂️

Everything I’ve tried from Tico’s has been excellent. It might be the best bacon, egg, & cheese in the neighborhood and it is a pretty damn good value too. They’re a new part of our regular take out rotation! A real neighborhood gem.

I also appreciate that they have an order window and a little bit of outdoor seating.

Yesterday, I had an amazing lunch at Tico's Cafeteria in Bushwick, Brooklyn. This Cuban spot offers a fantastic counter-service style with table delivery. The mojitos were a highlight—perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and beautifully presented with sugar cane, ideal for a hot day.

I ordered the chorizo burger, which was a standout. It came intricately made with matchstick fries inside the bun and a delicious sauce, truly a treat for the taste buds. My friend had the Cuban sandwich, and it was incredible, full of flavor and authenticity.

The owner was super friendly, even mistaking my friend for a Cuban, which added a fun touch to our visit. The Gen Z staff were attentive and cheerful, making the atmosphere lively and welcoming.

Overall, Tico's Cafeteria is a charming and vibrant place, worth the long walk from my neighborhood in Brooklyn. Highly recommend for anyone craving a delicious Cuban meal in a fun setting!
