“Cute tiki bar in the heart of BedStuy. Unfortunately they were no longer serving food upon my arrival however, the bartender was very generous with the St. Germain. Would definitely return as it's super cozy and perfect for a chill night out.“

“Super fun restaurant with beautiful tropical inspired decor! Their drinks and food are stunning! We really enjoyed the virgin mocktail we ordered which features pineapple juice, coconut milk and lime! Also really enjoyed the fried baby octopus and hotate kaiyaki which had such beautiful presentation! The service was wonderful and the bartender was super attentive! Come here if you’re ever looking for a fun and nice spot to dine at in Astoria!“

“This place is fire!
First of all, wow the decor. The bar itself is a whole experience that clearly had a lot of thought put into it. From the unsuspecting entrance requiring you to ring the doorbell all the way to the funky seating area with sexy devil pictures and a ceiling covered in string lights, you genuinely feel transported into another realm. Some of the drinks even come with dramatic effect! (Even the bathrooms are in on the atmosphere - and clean!)
Of course, you come for the atmosphere and stay for the drinks. There's a little of something for everyone, and the alcohol in these drinks mean business! I appreciate that they rank the strength of the drinks, as there is a notable difference even between the 2 and 3 skull ratings. Although the drinks may seem pricy, the size of them makes it well worth it and they certainly don't skimp on the liquor. And who doesn't want their drink with a side of fire?
I could've easily stayed at Paradise Lost all night, and my partner and I are very excited to visit again soon!“

“We did not eat here, but visited this place for the first time today after viewing the Donn the Beachcomber documentary at a nearby movie theater. The 2 bartenders were very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable even though the place was packed!! Excellent service with a smile! I'd visit again.“

“Ever wanted to drink in an old pirate ship but can’t make it out to Anaheim, Phoenix or San Fran? Sunken Harbor is for you. Seriously though, we finally made the pilgrimage to SH in Brooklyn, last week, and couldn’t have been happier.
We arrived just as the place was opening and realized that we might be in for a wait as there was already a line waiting to get into the hidden bar. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and they took our number and told us to expect an hour wait. Nobody batted an eye when we took up refuge in the corner (it was cold outside), and we were greeted with a text telling us our table was ready about 40 minutes after check in.
The bar is located above another fancy restaurant and holds maybe 35-40 people max. The whole place is designed like an old ship, with tons of amazing woodwork and nautical stylings.
Even though the place eschews the term tiki, you know you are in the right place when you see the Tiki Ti and Frankies Tiki Room stickers behind the bar. Speaking, of the bar, drinks were flawless. I had a traditional mai tai and it was a perfect melding of rum and sweetness, without the oppressive taste of cheap liquor. I didn’t have the food, as we were not able to stay too long, but they had an impressive menu of apps.
Sadly, there were no mugs available for sale, but they did offer some fancy zombie and Mai tai glasses, as well as pins.
I know Brooklyn is a haul, but we were able to find free street parking on a Saturday night,
Highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a perfectly made cocktail in NYC.“
