If I could give 0 stars I would. I placed my order at 5:00. Waited until 6:30 and my order was still not ready. Instead there are orders ready with tickets that show they were placed after 5:30. After waiting for an hour and a half, we expressed our frustration for the owner to yell at us. He said “you’re not happy, i’m not happy either”. Is this how he approaches all his customers? He then continued to berate us. How does one make their customers wait over an hour and a half, clearly mismanage the queue of orders (which I could overhear them arguing over behind the counter), and then yell at the customer as if they are in the wrong? Also yelling at me over the food they were making, spitting all over it. Disgusting. Would never go here again… should’ve listened to the reviews. All the raw fish sitting out in room temperature. Cashier is also biting her nails and packing up all the food. Good luck
Boss let’s tell the truth, luckily there were other customers there. I did not yell at you for 10 minutes. I asked you kindly twice what the wait was. You and the cashier ignored me and were arguing behind the counter about the orders you were all clearly confused by. I asked then again why there were orders placed after that are ready and then another customer walked up to also ask about the wait time. Instead of responding with a wait time or expressing any apology , you immediately got on the defensive and raised your voice shouting at us. As a grown man yelling at minors. I don’t know why you’re lying, that is not all you said and you know that. I didn’t threaten you, maybe you couldn’t understand over your rage yelling. I said if this is how you run your business good luck. Think that’s fair 🙂. You asked if I still wanted my food after spitting all over it yelling at me, actually in a threatening tone, so I told you I didn’t want it anymore. It was also still not even ready when you said that, I saw the open platter still being prepared so it would’ve been an additional wait. Let’s ask you, would you still want to buy from a place after that treatment? I think not.

Restaurantji Recommends
The portion is small and the fish is not very fresh
Ordered some sushi and appetizers to go.
The price is affordable but if you ask bout the taste of the food I would say Meh. Don’t get me wrong, it is sushi but the rice is a bit too hard but the fish is ok fresh.
TLDR: you pay for what you get.

All of these bad reviews were from like at least half of a decade ago, makes no sense. But now that they moved to a new location and is renovated, it’s still good. It’s really good sushi for the price, I mean a regular roll is $3.25 and a piece of nigiri is $1.25!! You will never find anything as cheap in the city for decent sushi. And what gets me laughing is that these “locals” who’ve only been here once or twice should know that this isn’t really a dine in style restaurant, there’s tables, yes but it’s more so for takeout and delivery! Who cares about the old interior that does not even exist anymore, it’s the FOOD that matters. And don’t complain if it doesn’t reach your expectations of Nobu or an Omakase because you pay for what you eat. No one’s being rude either, the bad reviewers are just being sensitive. They’re doing their jobs by making your food, they don’t need to work up a conversation with you.
