@wellhowwasit ??? Itzel’s is by far one of my favorite taqueria restaurants in the neighborhood. I practically order from them every week or every other week (I know I may have a problem 😅) and no matter what my order is I have to have a chorizo quesadilla. A simple assembly of sour cream, grated cojita, melted cheese, lettuce and chorizo that has not failed me once. At this point the quesadilla is a love language for me. Amazing burritos. This is one of the times when you realize that Google reviews are not always reliable. I got a carnitas burrito for $13.59 and this is honestly the best burrito I have had in NYC. They do seem a bit understaffed but the food is 10/10.
Honestly a great taqueria compared to most other bushwick/ridgewood taquerias (I’d say it’s even a bit better than nene’s). The birria taco is very saucy and flavorful, the chorizo taco was crispy and juicy. The steak burrito came with tons of steak inside and was well seasoned.
