Incredible place. Introduced to me by a good friend and was not disappointed. We were treated so incredibly well - excellent service and warm hospitality. Had the umi ikura (cold) soba. Simply devine. Can’t wait to come back!

The duck shio soba hot was wonderful! Maybe the best soba I've tried. The uni cucumber was okay. The uni wasn't as fresh. Love the unique decor of the place.

It doesn’t get better than this! Been to countless restaurants and Uzuki stood out for its next-to-none craftsmanship, amazing food, and lovely atmosphere. Check out Bon Appetit’s video on Uzuki (“A Day Making Some of the World’s Best Soba Noodles”) to see how much skill and artistry goes into these noodles. We got the tofu, salmon ikura cold soba, duck soba, and soba ice cream and every bite of each dish was incredible. Was truly worth every cent! The ceramics they use are also full of character and actually made by the chef himself!

Incredible soba, maybe best I have had in the US. Soba is truly made with care by Chef, and the texture of the noodles is unmatched. Highly recommend

Beautiful place with a true wabi-sabi atmosphere. Authentic japanese food with great attention to detail both in taste and presentation.

Important to note that this place opens at 12pm on weekdays!! Not 11:30am as on Google Maps or 11:45am as on their storefront. We ended up waiting half an hour, so they gave us a tofu dish as thanks for waiting. Initially they included this in the final bill. Only when we pointed it out after we paid, we were refunded and paid a second time with a discount. We realized after we left that this meant we had to pay tax and tip for this dish that we never ordered. Tip is one thing but not sure where the tax for that is going.

We also received the wrong appetizer even after they came back to our table to double check our order. We ended up just accepting what they gave us because we didn’t want to cause a hassle, but this also raked up the price that we were originally planning the meal to be—and caused some disappointment since I couldn’t get the dish I wanted.

As for the food, the tofu dish was unique and tasty; the salmon in the salmon ikura soba was very fresh. But I don’t think either is worth the price point. The salad soba I had when I first came here was very memorable, but the price rose quite a bit from the already high price point a year ago, such that now it’s pretty exorbitant. As a soba lover, I’d say get your traditional soba elsewhere. The entrees worth trying here are the unique ones, namely the salad soba which actually tastes better than the salmon ikura bowl.

Otherwise, the atmosphere is great. I love the interior and the ceramics are beautiful. My impression of the place overall dropped from when I first visited, though. The place is also basically empty during weekdays lunch, which explains why they don’t follow the earlier open time.

Food was very mediocre and given the prices I expected way more duck. Extremely nice restaurant atmosphere and service, but for 50$, there was 4 slices of duck in a very bitter dashi

This was a magical experience. I truly felt the care and expertise of what went into each meal, not to mention the fact that the chef makes all the ceramics as well. Flavors were well balanced, ambience was chill, relaxed & funky with a lot of artistry around. Our waitress accidentally thought I ordered a yuzu spritzer but just gave it to me anyway which was really kind. Especially for gluten free folks, this is a special spot because they dedicate everything gluten free, which is not normal for most soba noodle dishes. I felt the love in every bite!

I found a sharp triangular piece of plastic in my $58 truffle curry soba. The middle-aged Asian lady, whom another reviewer mentioned, didn't apologize or seem apologetic in any way. She just robotically offered to make it for us again or take it off the bill. Uh, lady, hello? What if I swallowed it? She actually seemed annoyed that I brought it up, when she should be the one apologizing profusely. They still charged us for the appetizers. My partner chose the place and took me there because of the health factor. She ended up crying outside because she felt so bad. One of the worst eating experiences I've had in NYC.

Fantastic food and dessert. This might be my favorite japanese restaurant in williamsburg/greenpoint. I recommend trying both cold and hot soba. We got the salmon, uni, and the duck soba. Loved every single bite. Also, the soba icecream is a must try. Will be back for sure

Beautiful and cozy ambiance, it feels like you’re stepping into an artist’s workshop
🍜 truffle soba: vegan broth, towari soba noodles, black truffle, mushroom mix, soba seeds, spinach, scallions, key lime, yuzu kosho, spice mix this was $52 - fresh and high quality ingredients
🍮 soba mochi : Soba flour, Soymilk, Sesame paste Kuromitsu, Kinako. Chewy texture and all the flavors were unique with every bite

This is one of those spots you don’t come to everyday but when you want to treat yourself or others. Even the bowls and plates are handmade by the chef. It’s a unique experience with aesthetic ambiance.

There is food that is made well, and then there is food that is the byproduct of something deeper—love, intention, craft... Uzuki is the latter.

Nourishes your soul. A corrective experience.

Beautiful and cozy ambiance, it feels like you’re stepping into an artist’s workshop. The udon itself was okay, I might not be appreciating it’s finer details, but ultimately not sure I would go back at that price point.

You will feel healthy after leaving this incredible restaurant. They source vegetables, fish and all the ingredients carefully! The chef is excellent. I visit several times while I’m visiting nyc and bring all my friends and family, who also love it now. Feel the love, nutrition and excellence. Book it now!
