6 Best Wineries near Brooklyn

TP&S Wine Grape Inc Winery •
62 Center Market St, Brooklyn

“Have been coming to this place for 3 years already and purchased grapes, grape juice and tools for winemaking at home. Tony Pagano and her wife are the owners and they are always at the site explaining and helping people with their winemaking journey. Greatly recommended“

Enlightenment Wines Meadery Winery •
93 Scott Ave, Brooklyn

“I subscribe to their mead CSA program and have a selection of their fantastic meads shipped to me in FL on a quarterly basis. I got a new batch before the holidays and shared them with friends--I'm leaving a review because of how happy everyone was to drink these artful bevs.

Raise the Roof is always a banger; Dagger has been great for both sipping and cocktail inclusions as a drier amaro; I like the Athanor for its tawny port-like qualities despite typically being disinterested in all things whisky-barreled; and the Umbra bottle I took to be a lovely variation on the fundamentals of Raise the Roof, pushing the effervescence higher, lightening the overall pallet and showcasing the near-savory aftertaste of the yeast, all perfect for New Years.

I consistently get comments from friends who I crack these open with, that they were apprehensive when mead was mentioned because of their previous experiences with flat-flavored and cloyingly sweet meads, but loved what was poured. While of course on the out-there side for some staunch grape wine drinkers, everyone with an adventurous streak has loved your products. Some visiting New Yorkers will likely be stopping by Honey's on their return to The One Great City.

I also wanted to mention the foraged apple mead and dandelion bitters meads from the prior set--both were beloved.

Check these guys out, and they ship perfectly well.“

The Red Hook Winery Winery • $$
SOUTH SIDE OF PIER, 175 Van Dyke St Pier 41 Suite 325A, Brooklyn

“Outstanding winery first and foremost. I made a reservation for midday a la carte wines and was a fantastic experience overall. Situated right on the water of Red Hook with a nice quiet scenic view of the sound. All flights we ordered were perfectly chilled and of course display cards informing patrons what each was. The staff was so courteous and just made us felt so relaxed.

I was not aware they had a private parking lot so next time I’m definitely driving there.

This winery is equivalent to most of the wineries out on eastern Long Island and North Fork without the extensive travel. Perfect day getaway for some slippage.“

Wine Master Wineries •
8606 Flatlands Ave, Brooklyn

“I used to shop here years ago when I was residing in Canarsie. It was our go to spot for reasonably priced liquor. I love to peruse aisles and read the labels, check out what the specials are so I could purchase my old standbys and try something new. They are quite knowledgeable about their stock. A true neighborhood bottle shop. My son, who was born in Canarsie, goes back to the neighborhood in allegiance to his childhood barber. He’s 23 yo so they’ve been there a very long time because I first went there as a newlywed almost 30 years ago. My son always knows to bring me a bottle or two from there when he goes to his barber nxt door. I can never patronize a store where I gotta stick my hand through a plexiglass hole to pay & retrieve my package.“
