We enjoyed the food, but we had a reservation at 6:00pm, and were told at the beginning that we had two hours at the table. Throughout our dinner, we were told to leave soon, way before 8:00pm (4 times we were asked to leave, and when we clarified that we had until 8:00, the staff blamed their booking system). We felt rushed and didn’t enjoy the atmosphere. The staff’s attitude soured the experience, especially after spending so much money.

My new favorite restaurant in the city! Had an amazing dinner here with a large group. The tasting menu was so worth it and we got to try so many different types of foods. Every bite was incredible but a few of my favorites was the duck, fish tacos, and fois gras. The cocktails are super innovative and delicious too.Where Xixa goes above and beyond is the SERVICE! I have a few dietary restrictions and they were super accommodating. They provided substitutes from the tasting menu to supplement the original dishes and they also skewed the menu a little in the direction ahead of time. I've never received that level of service before and the staff were just so nice and attentive. Thank you!!

Currently $56 per person for tasting menu. Delicious, unique, amazing flavors!! All waiters were nice. They were transparent about adding 20% tip to the bill. My 1 year old baby ate guac, duck, bone marrow and more and loved it! One of the best restaurants I have EVER been to! I will come back!

Not impressed by the food. Most dishes were overly salty. My favorite dish would have to be roasted bone marrow tacos. The tortilla were very delicious and unique.

Good food, pleasant atmosphere and little delay in service but due to the amount of people when going to rest ?

We made a resy for eight on a Saturday night. One of the main reasons why we chose this place was for the ease of having a set tasting menu. It was even better when the tasting menu was super affordable at around 56 dollars! I got two cocktails. They were good but not something to write home about. Our set menu started with guacamole and 3 types of chips. It was very standard. I would've wanted a few more chips as we still had guacamole left. The fish tacos were great with a sweet beet topping? I was expecting them to be pickled. I think it needed a bit more citrus. The burrata with possibly ?fried green tomatoes was interesting. The lamb meatballs and pita course was interesting. It definitely tasted more Mediterranean than Mexican, which was a little disjointed with the overall vibe of the menu. But it was very well done. The scallop with noodles with artichoke sauce was my favorite of the night. The chicken wings were very crisply fried and super tasty . Lastly I think we had a super crispy pork shank with tortillas. At this point, we were already so happily full from the meal. We ended with churros and a funfetti tres leche. The service was friendly. I would give it a 4.5/5. Definitely would come back for another big group dinner. Excited to see how the menu changes seasonally.

Wow. Had the tasting menu here and it was incredible. The affordable price was an absolute plus! Hint: the name is pronounced like the Jewish word ‘shiksa’I would call this cuisine, modern or “new” Mexican. Every dish we had from appetizer, entree to dessert was delicious and satisfying (except for the chicken wings - the flavor was great, but seemed ‘too soft’) Check out the photos for the dishes we were served. Go and enjoy yourselves - but make a reservation because it will be packed! The drink menu is a little confusing, but with the help of the servers, they’ll steer you right! And the drinks are also incredible!Recommended.

My boyfriend and I celebrated an early valentine's day here and had no idea what to expect. Decided to try something new and went with their special offer which included 7 appetizers, 1 entree and a dessert. The twist is the chef decides on what comes out, so it's an experience every moment of the dinner. Everything that came out to our table was a 9-10/10 rating. Insane caution to flavor and detail, not to mention we had the best staff spoiling us the whole night, it honestly felt like we were the only ones there on how well they treated us. Josue was our waiter and i can't recommend him and this place enough. We'll be back!

We were Australian travellers on our first anniversary looking for somewhere cool to go for dinner on our last night. We thought that we'd try an upmarket Mexican restaurant and pretty much chose Xixa at random. We were so so lucky, as we had a truly incredible time. We went the set menu and it was a lot of food but also a great mix of traditional and inventive. I never thought that a foie gras taco would be on my top five experiences from a week in New York! Michelin Guide, what's the matter with you - give these people a star.

Recently reopened, a ridiculously easy res to get for the experience: $56 for a 9 course tasting menu. An insane deal for top quality food, every dish hit. Fantastic job with portions, left feeling full and satisfied. Definitely coming back

Xixa was a wonderful experience! My group did the 9 course meal, and it was delicious. It was a lot of food even though the serving sizes were small. You might not like every course, but you get the chance to try things you would like and also things you didn't think you'd try. The service was prompt and great. One thing to note, the 9 course meal comes out fast. Each course comes quick, so try to pace yourself.
