I've only been here a couple of times but I'm a fan. This place is unique because it has a stage in the back and they host events every day ranging from comics, to artists. I came in an hour before closing with a rowdy bunch and the bartender was chill about it and didn't ask us to leave until about 30 minutes after their scheduled closing time. He also makes great drinks so great spot all around.

My friend wanted to take us to some of his favorite neighborhood bars, and Young Ethel's was our first stop. This place is a great little hole in the wall where the locals like to hang. It has a relaxed, casual vibe. The décor is lovely and fun. The bartenders are friendly and greet you with a smile. They have a nice selection of signature cocktails. I ordered a Bee's Knees, and it was very good. There is also a room in the back where you can catch free shows daily by local musical acts and comedians. They even have pinball machines. I'd come back.

Cozy joint! I think I got an old fashioned and it was absolutely drinkable. Also there was a band playing and they were, you know, figuring it out? But their moms and dads were in full attendance and you’ve gotta give it up for that familial support system baby!

Take a picture of your check and compare it to your credit card charge! The bartender (or someone else) decided to add an additional $3 tip to my check after I crossed out the tip section and wrote “cash”.Thankfully, I took a picture of the receipt and the cash tip I left. What’s even more upsetting is I left a $5 tip for two drinks which was a 20% tip.I will never return here. Please be mindful of your checks!

Because of the name, I really didn't expect much of this place. I was very pleasantly surprised to find it was a very clean, reasonably priced and decent sized place. Drinks were good; well mixed and the bartender was which to fill your order. Sound system was good also. No parking, but that's Brooklyn for you. Highly recommended. Enjoy your time there!

There isn't any food but you're welcome to bring outside food into the establishment and there's a taco truck right outside.I love the love music--they have a good setup for it where you can immerse yourself in just that or listen from afar in the front of house. Do note you'll need to put your orders in at the bar. You'll be taken care of :)
