She is a true artist and definitely exceeded my expectations. I was worried I couldnât find someone to make my boyfriendâs cake for his 40th bday because 2 different bakeries werenât able to do it in time. I reached out 1 week before I needed it & she was more than happy to do it. Very down to earth & easy to talk to. All I did was tell her the color scheme I wanted & flavor of the cake, along with what my boyfriendâs interests are. I said âjust do your thingâ and I couldnât be happier with the results!! He loved it & the cake was delicious.

When I arrived to my wedding venue, Iâll admit i was frantic, nervous, and overall overwhelmed. I was double, triple checking things and what not - as you do on your wedding dayâŠ. And when i tell you i stopped DEAD IN MY TRACKS when i saw my wedding cake, i legitimately mean i stopped dead in my tracks when I saw my wedding cake. I called my groomsmen over to look at the cake and all of them were awestruck. I legitimately looked at this thing for 5 minutes. It actually calmed me down in a way. It felt like I was looking at a renaissance painting, i wish i was kidding. Katya is a one hell of an artist, and she one hell of a baker (b/c that cake was SO GOOD). Of all the vendors we used - there is no second place b/c CAKES BY KATYA is 1, 2, and 3. SO REASONABLY PRICED, when she told us the final price for a cake + 2 sheet cakes, my jaw hit the floor and I could not pay my deposit fast enough. She is the amazing on so many levels. So accommodating, so easy to work with, so friendly. I am running out of adjectives, seriously. My wife and I agree if we are to go to a wedding in the Buffalo area and they did not use Cakes by Katya - will we not be attending, again I am not kidding. Of all the engaged and soon to be engaged couples at our wedding, we have told them in a very politely, yet firmly to use Cakes by Katya not only for their wedding cake, but for all their celebratory needs. Whether itâs for an anniversary or birthday - I will very much be using her services again and cannot wait to do so.

I am blown away everytime I order a cake from Katya. She is quick to respond and always creates something amazing when I just give a theme in a few words! She really goes above and beyond! I will never get a cake from anywhere else as long as I live in Buffalo!

This rating is not based on the desserts, which I did not get to try. This rating is based on the inconvenience of the business. Drove all the way out there to try some things from this bakery, the door was locked with a sign that said appointment only. We called the phone number and there's no answer but you can leave a message. She texted us back and tells us everything is by appointment. I tell her we want to sample some of her desserts, she tells me there's a minimum requirement of $33 for 12 cupcakes, (cupcakes we've never tasted and don't even know if we will like)! So you have to spend over $30 if you want to even TRY this place, and if you don't like it, you're out $30. If you're looking for fantastic scratch made bakeries that you can actually walk inside and browse and sample individual items I highly suggest butter block or Frost artisan.
Delicious cake and easy to work with.I order a custom cake for my wife's birthday. She was thrilled with how it looked. We were all thrilled with how it tasted. Nice texture with perfect moisture. The red velvet cake and peanut butter mouse were both delicious. The butter cream frosting was perfect, not sickly sweet or grainy like many other places.
