A must go when in Buffalo

Little restaurant where you order at the counter. We had to go for Beef and Weck and were not disappointed.

I'm new to Buffalo and wanted to try a beef on weck. Since I hadn't had one before, I made the mistake of taking it home with me and not eating it warm, but even do the bun was really flavorful, and there was a generous portion of beef with mild horseradish on the side. It was made quickly right in front of me, and staff was friendly and efficient.

Ignore the vitamins and meds in the photo yall 😭😭. Anyways, this stuff is great. Love the mini beef on weck, 100% recommend dipping it into a pile of the mashed potatoes and gravy. Tastes like childhood <333

I recently ordered the prime rib special from Charlie the Butcher’s Kitchen and was really disappointed. The prime rib was honestly not good at all, and the pasta that came with it was just as bad. Both had an off taste and were hard to enjoy. The only thing that saved the meal a little was the mashed potatoes, which were actually pretty good. I hate leaving a negative review, but for the price and reputation, I expected a lot better. I ended up throwing everything out very disappointing

I got the polish sausage. It was pretty good. It was steamed, I prefer grilled, no big deal. The service wasn't great. The staff couldnt have seemed less interested. I was the only person in there. There wasn't much atmosphere to speak of.

Finally stopped into the Charlie The Butcher location on Elmwood. Remember them for the days at the Broadway Market.

I was not disappointed! Friendly, prompt service, and great food!

I got the traditional Beef on Weck with a side of Rice Pudding to go.

Opened up the bag and yes! A beautiful fresh Beef on Weck with a side of horseradish, a pickle spear, and napkins :)

The Rice Pudding looks as good as the Towne's, but I can't try it yet, I'm too full!

Will go back soon to try one of their daily diners to take home.

Do check them out, it's good and well priced...

Live next door and always be sleepin’ on this place! EXACTLY the nostalgic comfort food one needs to keep the seasonal, and general, depression at bay! Only negative, no music! Desperately in need of a Sonos system and Spotify Premium!
