On Saturday night, we visited Hutch’s for the 3rd time but it will probably be our last. I ordered the chicken Milanese which was fabulous, however, my husband ordered the NY strip steak (an $80 meal), ordered medium and it came extremely rare like too rare to eat. We sent it back and they cooked a new one. When he cut it open in front of the manager, the second one was extremely rare as well. The manager saw how rare it was and immediately sent it back. We had been there a while at this point so the manager made the 3rd steak meal to go. I had a brownie dessert which again was fabulous. They did comp the dessert because of the issue with the steak which was nice but then when we got home, I went to heat up the steak for my husband and it again was extremely rare! This was super disappointing especially for an $80 meal. I ended up having to cook it myself at home in order for my husband to safely eat it.

Our first time here and it was excellent. The food was absolutely amazing and so was the service and atmosphere. The best part was their homemade desserts some of the best I’ve had.

Had the Heritage Pork Chop which was excellent. The menu is a little limited but the food is good. The service is top notch. The only draw back is the location and the parking

It was our first visit. Although the prices are a bit high, the food was good and the atmosphere pleasant. The only downside was the parking, as we got confused entering due to the lack of clear signs, especially since it was our first time and the restaurant is on a busy street. The service and food quality were very good overall

The grilled swordfish was moist and well-seasoned, with sides that felt fresh and balanced. Service was smooth and professional, and the upscale but comfortable dining room carried an easy sophistication that fit the evening perfectly.

The service was surprisingly terrible on a recent visit. We arrived on time for our reservation. Seated. Water poured. Noticed other parties seated after us getting service. We waited a long time - still nothing. After 45 minutes, I went to the host desk to let them know we still hadn’t received service, that no one came by to start our drink orders. He told me that someone would be right out. It took another 10 minutes after that before someone finally came to our table.
The host/manager apologized, comped our drinks and apps. But for an institution like Hutch’s, there shouldn’t be an off night or breakdown in staff communication. Excellence in service is achieved through consistency and high standards. To go almost an hour is unreasonably too long to wait for dining service to begin at any restaurant, let alone Hutch’s.
The inside is usually too noisy for conversation, so I’d recommend the patio if the weather is fine and if there’s no construction on Delaware. In our case, we ended up with a view of construction equipment.
The food was okay. This was not our first time there, so I think we’re probably over this place after this experience. I wouldn’t say I’d not recommend this restaurant, but be prepared for service inconsistencies if you’re thinking of going here.
I was told this place was better than. Prescott's Provisions. I was told wrong. I had the bone in tenderloin for $90 and it wasn't really seasoned. The butter scotch tart was good however. Like a lot of buffalo, this place is here still only because it been here for a long time.
