Easily the best local sushi restaurant in the area. Extensive selection, fresh, thoughtfully prepared menu with good prices, an excellent lunch special, courteous and attentive staff and a comfortable, relaxed environment. I've been going to ichiban for well over 7 years, and I have never been disappointed. Takeout is fast and efficient, sit down service never seems rushed. There are options to serve most dietary needs. All in all it is just an amazing little place.

I have been coming to Ichiban for the past 6 years. I have not had a better experience at a restaurant! The service is very good, staff is highly attentive, caring, and knowledgeable towards their customers and the food they serve. Whether I do takeout, or dine in I always feel welcomed in and properly taken care of. The food is amazing, some of the best sushi I have had, and the best in Buffalo. I highly recommend eating here, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the employees are friendly.

I've been coming here for years, and it's never let me down. Sure, sometimes the wait's a little long, but I get it - good food is worth waiting for! Definitely worth recommending to friends.

Absolutly the best rolls and Japanese I have ever had. I am from Rochester area and no place compares to this by far. :) Im leaving happy, full and with a good feeling that this is a destination to return to. #ICHIBAN

I’ve been coming to Ichiban for over 5 years, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal here. The sushi is always incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious!Whether I’m dining in or taking out, everything is timely and consistent. The hibachi is just as impressive, it’s always flavorful and cooked to perfection.
Also the servers are always kind, attentive, and make you feel genuinely welcome.
Ichiban sets the bar high, and they never disappoint. If you’re looking for top-quality sushi and hibachi with good service i highly recommend!

Should have 5 ⭐️’s. Amazing food, great atmosphere, great service. Easy parking, impossible to miss building. If you haven’t gone I suggest you do.

We arrived within ninety minutes of closing. They were still fully open, and everyone was very pleasant and welcoming. I ordered more noodles than I could possibly eat.And yet I managed to eat them. Really enjoyed the Pork Katsu as well. Stayed way too long, and yet no one rushed us. Staff was attentive but did not hover. The restaurant did everything right. I'll pay more attention to the atmosphere next time, but this time I was too busy eating. Going back many times.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ichiban and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. The sushi was incredibly fresh, and the presentation was like a work of art. The flavors were authentic, and each dish was crafted with great attention to detail.

The service was impeccable; the staff was attentive and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations. The sake selection was impressive, complementing the meal perfectly. Anyway I highly recommend here for anyone looking for an authentic and memorable Japanese dining experience. I'll definitely be returning soon!
