Want to go into someone's kitchen and get a nice home cooked meal. Want to feel like you are at their kitchen table and they are whipping things up in the other room? Come on over to Lone Star Grille. The food here is really good. it also is clean and makes you feel like you ate something healthy. This place also has a salsa bar. They put their hearts into it here.

I have mixed reviews this time. I've been visiting this place for almost 15 years, and have never had a complaint. Until recently. The staff that was on shift complained about their life, pain, and how hard it was to make food the entire time we were there. We actually wanted to order MORE food but didn't want to hear anymore woes, so we ended up going elsewhere later to eat. I would absolutely recommend this place, their food, and they're staff..... except this one. It's not the first time I've been there that they have gotten too personal, and taken over (not allowing us to talk to each other, by talking over us) my dinner out with a friend. I'd love to speak to the owner, and NOT put this on this page, but have found no contact info.

Good little Mexican food place on Hertel in North Buffalo. Great staff, very reasonably priced & they have some of the best pico de gallo I've ever had!

Maureen is awesome! Great cook and a wonderful spirit. Highly recommended. Inexpensive but high quality. A Buffalo, NY tradition for sure.
I suspect they marinate the chicken in addictive substances, because I CRAVE their chicken tacis and regular tostadas.

After moving to the Southwest I can attest to the authenticity of this little Tex Mex taco joint. Cash only, no A/C and decor that hasn't changed the slightest in at least 20 years doesn't take away from the fact that Lonestar Fajita Grill is one of my favorite places and a mandatory stop every time I'm back in town. The guacamole is made fresh, the chips are fried while you wait and everything I've ever had here had tasted fantastic. The steak taco and valley taco are two of my personal favorites. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.
