Great experience at Phovana. Kim is very welcoming and the food was delicious. I ordered the beef pho which included all the toppings and sauces. Nice spot to gather with friends and enjoy a Vietnamese coffee as well.

This used to be my favorite spot for Pho in the Buffalo area. I don’t know what changed, if it’s new ownership or what but I just ordered the same order I’ve ordered here for years and it not only tastes different they are very skimpy now with “extras” I paid for extra noodles and you used to get double the amount of noodles, now it looks like less than they used to give for just one regular order. I thought they forgot it so I called and told them and the “head chef” said he just included it in the bowl and didn’t pack it separate. I told the gentleman on the phone that there was only a handful of noodles in the order and talked to the head chef again who said he packed extra. I ordered extra broth also and that was included. I will not be ordering from here anymore. I’m so saddened by this experience… I have recommended this place to so many people and can no longer recommend it. Hopefully those who I’ve recommended it to haven’t gone yet because I would be embarrassed if they have the same experience I just had. I guess the silver lining here is now I will be on the search for the new #1 Pho in Buffalo.

The pho broth was good. However the quantity and quality of the meat are not. Very little meat. We only got half meatballs ball sliced to few pieces. They didn’t use rare thin sliced beef but instead regular thicker sliced beef. Overall not a good value for the price. Compared to any authentic Vietnamese restaurant Phovana was a disappointment. Will not go back and will not recommend to anyone.
