My wife and I and our kids continue to love the food and ambiance at Southern Junction. Even my daughter, who is a vegetarian! (Mac, cardamom cornbread).
My wife, Danae, hates and I mean HATES bacon. Bacon is banned in our house as she gets nauseous from just smelling it. The nicest thing Danae has done for me in years was about a month ago. She surprised me with a takeout platter from Southern Junction and on the side was a Texas Twinkie! Whole meal was delicious. Thank you and your team for being consistently excellent!

I came without much barbecue experience, but the staff made me feel welcome and helped me pick out a protein and sides. I loved all the flavors of every dish. After one meal, I now have an insatiable craving for Southern Junction, so I guess I will have to return to Buffalo!

Usually very good. Last time was bot as impressive but still good. The staff there is great. Still one of the best BBQ spots. Hoping this time was a fluke. Most BBQ places around here have lost quality after company growth. They are still one of my top choices. I would recommend it

The wait was painful: 30 minute wait in the cold and we were anxious for the Good Food. We watched with growing dread as they ran out of the brisket and the flat iron and half the line “noped” out but uh… damn it was worth the wait
The cauliflower was mid but the cornbread was straight up revelatory: like, you know the organ music from Interstellar? That played when I had a bite of the cornbread. The prime rib special they had was was unbelievable: like a taste profile that’s so complicated but in the best way. I enjoyed this so much and you know what? Yeah, I’d wait in line again. 100%. “All hat no cattle” and the mescal/tequila drink was also great.
