Excellent hidden gem on the Main strip. Like any NY deli, expect to wait for your order, especially during peak lunch rush- but not longer than 10-20 minutes. Food is consistently fresh and delicious with lots of vegan/vegetarian options at a good price. And their baked goods are so tasty. Sue’s is the best!

Sue's New York Deli owned and run by Claudette and Albert is only open Monday through Friday but is the primary reason to come to Buffalo, NOT the Passport Agency OR Niagara Falls! Constantly looking for good vegetarian food since my surgery, I was heartened to find Sue's. The humus over salad was good but the vegetarian chili with red beans, lentils and carrots is better than in Beirut! I took two quarts home to Cleveland with me. I didn't get a chance to taste Claudette's home made baklava because they were sold out but I'm coming back to try it!

Do yourself a favor and get lunch here. Everything on the menu is great. They have my favorite souvlaki downtown. Nice convenient location too.Vegetarian options: You can get specific veggie items here including a delicious veggie burger.
Very Disrespectful after selling me a spoiled fruit salad Sue the cashier and the elder gentleman yelled at me and told me not to come back Iam and a employee in city hall these 2 have yelled at me before in the past they called security on me today a employee and consumer and I never been a threatening person so it’s DISRESPECTFUL and dangerous to do that to a Brown skin Muslim Man very disappointing

I ordered lunch and tipped and took a walk to the bathroom only to find a sign that says bathroom is for employees only. How can you allow people to dine inside but not wash hands? I’m f just floored .
Sue's is a fundamental part of the Downtown lunch scene and is thankfully still open in their new location at Main/W. Chippewa. A full menu of fresh, Greek staples that you can always rely on, as well as a variety of fresh sides and baked goods. It's the kind of place you introduce a new co-worker to and then bump into them frequently afterwards because you've made a new "convert."

I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap, but what I received was a wrap with cold chicken, tomatoes, and lettuce, along with tahini sauce. It tasted really bad. When I asked why it was even called a shawarma wrap, they simply told me that’s how they make it and gave me a cold look, as if it was a mistake to even ask the question.
