I ordered on Doordash. I got buy one get one free fish fries with collards and Mac eith a peach cobbler. Originally doordash had changed my wait time from 30 mins to 2 hours. I read reviews online that showed this being a common thing. So I called the resturaunt and explained that I am in labor and if it will be 2 hours I have to cancel and I am in labor labor and only have a small window before transition. She was very kind and had my order in the car in 15 mins.
Because God hates me. The second my dasher arrived I entered transitional labor and felt extremely unwell. Therefore I am unable to eat this food the way I wanted right now as I will not be able to keep it down. However, I am going to take a bite of everything to comment quickly on it. I am so amazed and grateful for the customer service shown to me lol.
Fish: tastes incredible for an 11pm fish fry. Idk what the reviews are saying. Seasoned very well. Corn bread: sweet nothing crazy great side Mac and cheese: not a fan tastes very eggy and like water noodles with cheese. But we all like our Mac different. Greens: are phenomenal. Yes they are extremely salty but I think they are good. A tiny bit less salty would probably make more people satisfied but idk if I wasnt in labor and was bothered by it I would just throw them on the stove quick with a potato to suck a little out. But I loved them and wish I didnt have to depart Peach cobbler: visually I was a bit disappointed but in resturaunt during normal business hours is probably better. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the taste either, not for $10. It reminds me of those hostess fruit pie pockets we would buy from the store. I always got the ones with the lemon filing. It like tastes exactly like that to me. Which isnt necessarily a bad thing, it just wasnt texturally or flavor wise what I was looking for in a peach cobbler.
Overall this experience will go down as a core memory for my life and I am grateful I at least got to try everything and write an honest review. Post partum I will be back!!!!

I wanted to try a new Soulfood place so I Ordered on UberEats at 11:30am from this place and it’s now 2:19. Still no food. They even called me to tell me they were out of things and an hour later my food still isn’t ready or delivered. I asked the driver for an ETA the driver stated the employee said 10 minutes. Well 30 mins later and still no food. I canceled the order and After seeing the other reviews and how the restaurant respond to the other customers reviews, I’m glad they didn’t get my money. Simply unprofessional and I saved $60 of what possibly would have been mid tasting food. I’m convinced the five star reviews are relatives and friends.

I want to start this review off by saying that the presentation of the food wasn't bad. I ordered a haddock dinner with a side of Mac & cabbage. The haddock wasn't seasoned well and was very soggy. I would recommend not putting it in foil after cooking it. The Mac was okay, cabbage was good ,but super salty. The cornbread was sweet ,but very dry. I am from out of state and honestly trying new places. I wouldn't order from them again,but thank you for being another black owned business !

The owner is so disrespectful and unprofessional. Cussing at customers when you’re in the wrong is crazy. The lady she cussed at wasn’t even being rude and had been waiting on her order since 10 am. Mind you it was 4:30 when we got there. We waited two hours for our food. Service is bad consistently.

Food was fireeee 🔥 I love how the food was made fresh to order, I’d rather wait for fresh food than food sitting around all day. The ribs were a little tough but other than that 💣 10/10 recommend.
