Walden's Restaurant is closed. The M Hotel in which the eatery is located is undergoing refurbishment. Stay hopeful the service at the new restaurant will be better than that we found at the hotel.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at! My fiancé and I were spending our 10 year anniversary in Buffalo and decided to book this hotel after seeing the pictures and reviews. Upon checking in and going up to our room, I was disappointed and disgusted to say the least. Our bathroom was barely larger than a public restroom stall and the bathtub's finish on the floor of the tub was completely worn out and torn up. Not to mention the 1/2 inch of dirt on all of the towel bars, soap scum covering the metal fixtures, and pubic hair in the tub! I called the front desk to request the room be cleaned and was told that they had 1 housekeeper working for the entire 8 story hotel and that they could let her know or they would be happy to move me to another room. I chose to be moved to a new room. Needless to say, this room was no better. We got put on the 5th floor which was a no smoking floor. As soon as the elevator doors opened (the elevator floors were filthy as well), we were overcome with the overpowering stench of weed...ON A NON SMOKING FLOOR. This room had stains all over the carpet and on the curtains, a sink that was cracking and coming up on the bottom, brown gunk on the phone, rusted light fixtures in the bathroom, moldy looking gunk on the toilet paper roll, and a bathroom vent so cakes with dirt I didn't want to even stand beneath it. The carpet was so filthy that I refused to walk barefoot in the room. The nightstand and dresser were badly worn and stained, remote was missing half the buttons, and the only microwaves in the hotel were the 2 on a table in the lobby so I hope nobody wants hot food in their rooms! The walls had black scuff marks across nearly the full length of the wall like the dresser had constantly been moved back and forth as well. We did get an ice bucket....but good luck trying to find an ice machine! Less than an hour into our stay I was in tears and just wanted to go home. Literally the only good thing I have to say is that every member of the staff I had interacted with was very pleasant and apologetic.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Every staff member we encountered in the hallway were very friendly as well. I had read some of the other reviews and was nervous about the cleanliness, however, our room was very clean and with no odors or mildew that others have reported. The hotel needs updated and it appears they are trying to make some changes. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was huge and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was not clean . I asked them to change the room but they rejected. As a guest they need to be more flexible with the customer needs and satisfaction. The hotel location is excellent and the restaurants were close by.

If you are not booking directly with the hotel, PLEASE call and confirm your booking right after getting confirmation! We used Priceline and the hotel claimed they never got an email from them and therefore they didn't have a room reserved for us. "Funny" thing it, as we stood at the check-in counter, 2 other guests had complaints about their reservations. One said they didn't book all 3 nights that he requested via a 3rd party agent. The other booked 2 queen beds for the Buffalo Bills game to share with an acquaintance, but they gave him 1 King. When he said he wanted an immediate refund to book another local hotel, they said "it is out of our hands and you have to contact your booking company." He asked for the GM, but got the runaround. We believe that they booked out our room at a much higher price to someone else and claimed that they didn't get the email, so they could get more money. They know that we have to go through our 3rd party booking agent and by the time it gets resolved, they are in the clear. Luckily we have family in the area that rescued our plans, but I still got charged for the booking!!! So, now I have to deal with them as well! My hope is that you will all read this and not get stuck worse than I did. I was lucky to have wonderful family to put me up. Safe travels everyone!

Good location for hotel. On center of lots of shops, restaurants, etc. Walking distance to big mall (Walden Galleria). However, was not impressed with maintenance of hotel. Rooms could use a little upgrade. Also the cleaning was somewhat subpar particularly given COVID. Also not a big fan of the quality of food of the in house restaurant. Pool closed due to covid. Staff was very nice and always very helpful. Not sure I would stay here again.

Not sure if people’s expectations have lowered because if the pandemic, but my wife and I just stayed here and the place is filthy. Dirt and grime in every nook and cranny, stained curtains in the room, dirty fixtures, cracked sink, etc etc. Definitely not worth the price they charge. I’ve stayed in cheaper hotels that were better kept and cleaned.

I've stayed in hotels from around the world, and this is one of my absolute FAVORITE places to be. Jillian, Jeff, and the rest of the amazing individuals that work here have treated me like family... and as a person who travels for business, that truly goes a long way. Even the beautiful souls who clean up after a stay, are smiling, friendly, and simply PERFECT. I'd give everyone an 11 out of 10 stars.

We stayed here for a park sleep and fly, although we only stayed one night it was a very nice hotel. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were clean. Conveniently located to the airport and lots of restaurants. Great value for the price.

We checked in late on a Thursday night after a long road trip. The front desk clerk was helpful and made the check in smooth. Once we got to the floor our room was on my wife and I smelled the overwhelming smell of marijuana throughout the entire floor. I found the source of the marijuana smell was a group of young men smoking in the stairwell between the floors. The room smelled musty and was old and dirty. The bathtub coating was peeling exposing the metal of the tub. I told the front desk clerk I didn’t feel comfortable staying there and she was very polite and immediately refunded my money without question. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels and this is the first one I walked out of without staying the night. I was willing to forfeit the $90 I paid in order to get a nicer room elsewhere.

The restaurant was closed on a Saturday evening, but we could get served food in the bar. I had the ribeye steak, sweet potato and vegetables. The steak was very good, and medium rare as requested. My wife had the chicken cordon bleu, with baked potato and vegetables. The menu had indicated the dinner came with rolls, but we didn't see any. The waitress offered to bring some after we were finished. She did not come back to check on us until we were done. We did have a coupon from the Entertainment book, but with that it was a a bit pricey, as most hotels are. The food itself was fine but the service was somewhat lacking.
