I love coming here when I'm in Buffalo. Had the Fish Fry on 7/22/25, and it was great as usual. A heck of a plate of food for $20. Had a couple of Genny beers, and Gimlet to round it out, and wash it down, and including tax, my total was about $32. A very good deal for a great lunch. Getting harder to find these good old neighborhood corner bars in Buffalo. Hope they keep it up, and never close. I sat at the bar. But they have a large dining area with bigger tables. So group seating shouldn't be a problem. They don't have much Parking though. So it may take a little time to find a spot on the street if you get here at a busy time.

I am not going to sugarcoat it — this place is a dive bar/restaurant. That being said, it is one of the best in Buffalo & almost everyone in Buffalo knows about how good it is. If you’re recently relocated/around the area on a trip to Buffalo — ya gotta go. It’s like a rite of passage.
My family has brought me here since I was a kid…have always gone on Fridays and gotten the soup and fish fry. Never disappoints. That being said — I have been in Iowa away for work a bit and finally got the chance to stop by again today (Monday, 12/9/24). While the fish fry is Fridays only, they always have 4 soups on. Their chicken noodle soup is absolutely to die for & in my opinion the best in Buffalo by far. Always loaded up, filling to the point that 2 bowls could be your meal, and a great deal at $5.
Also wanted to say that the service here is always great. Ate my soup at the bar — bartender tonight who was a younger male (didn’t catch his name unfortunately) was A+. Better than any bartender you’ll find downtown, at chain restaurants, or pretty much any other local haunt in Buffalo.
Overall — this place is amazing. Having travelled all over the US with sports teams, it is one of those places you try to find that’s a local legend in whatever city you’re in. Try it out — you won’t be disappointed.
Parking: Park at the school across the street as long as it is after school hours. Nobody minds and you’re all good there. Other than that — very narrow parking lot to left side of restaurant and street parking. Would 100% recommend just parking at the school for convenience — you won’t be towed — nobody cares.
Kid-friendliness: Bar in the front and a restaurant with booths/tables in the back that are separated & have ample space between them. Not a rowdy crowd; mostly older people at the bar. Definitely kid friendly.

Omg …seriously parking was hardest part, walked in hostess sat us within 60 seconds, order taking within mins, fish fry was on table within 5 mins, and let me tell u, fish was huge, sides were a plenty, had a full take home meal….and left in under 35 mins, wow, finished eating at 4:45 pm, almost 7 hours later still full…seriously amazing best fish fry in buffalo top 10 in America well worth the respect
