Murphy Orchards is amazing! All of the people here are friendly and helpful. Xandy is one of the best folks that I have met in a very long time, and she makes the best Apple Pie jam! It's also a historical site; one of the hiding places for the Underground Railroad. Such a gem of a place!
We went October 2014. We had the tea with those little sandwiches and desserts in the tea room. Quite lovely. My kids loved it. Then we went out and pick about 100lbs of apples between all of us. Price for apples were great. We all had a great time. Going back Columbus Day 2015.
My sons and I have visited twice now, once for an apple picking field trip in the fall, and again today to pick cherries. We were greeted right away by Katie (I hope I remember correctly) who took the boys around to visit the animals, and helped us pick a variety of ripe cherries. She made it an exceptional experience, and the cherries taste great. We look forward to many visits in the future.
