If you long for the old Catskills feel, look no further than The Villa Roma! Absolutely amazing time, activities planned all day, and evenings, for all ages. We just got home, and my family and I can’t wait to go back. The staff was so helpful, and made you feel like you were family during your stay. The food was delicious, we had meals for 6 days and each was unbelievable, not one thing we did not enjoy. The teens can dance the night away at a club by the game room, while the adults can slip away for a little alone time at Marty’s lounge. Very safe so you never worry about watching over your children every second of the day. We went in summer, zip line, bumper boats, go carts, pools for everyone. Indoor activities included bowling archery basket ball, and so many more. Want to golf? Full 18 holes at Villa Roma. Looking forward to going in the winter where the ski hills are open, as well as tubing and ice skating. If I could give The Villa Roma 6 stars I would! Bravo for keeping these hidden old school gems going

Stay Home. Stay away….. Especially Timeshare buildings And Don’t exchange your week elsewhere for this dump. Electric outlet in bathroom didn’t works , pick up phone to call fro service …Phone didn’t work…. Glad I wasn’t having a heart attack…. Call from my cell to front desk … they must have sent someone to reset the breaker … but never came to room to look at phone. It’s been two days still not fixed. Went to the soda machine bill accepter not working. Went to 3 other building near by none worked … went to 4th it had a credit card reader…. Swiped my card, made my selection , sold out tried every selection of soda and water. All Sold out. This place is not what it used to be…i was here 15 years ago…...Wait actually it is exactly the same Carpet must be original. Filthy dirty and wore. Beds have no bead spreads only sheets and blanket, probably from 1975 as well …. Water stains on ceilings.. Outside of buildings pealing … The Main Hotel is just as dated . It’s been up for sale and has fallen through…. Maybe if you put some paint on this pig it would help… Dinner in main dining room poor at best and rushed… dine elsewhere.. Stay home or trade elsewhere.

My family and I go to the Villa Roma every year. We own a timeshare. We enjoy our annual visit. You can do as little or as much as you want. I enjoy relaxing and looking at the beautiful autumnal scenery and wildlife. The staff is amazing and the food is great. My husband enjoys the golf course. We're looking forward to our annual trip.

All the negative reviews are accurate unfortunately. The staff are all nice, but there are not enough of them, they are all spread much to thin. It's hectic and unclean in the common areas. Walls are and ceilings are poorly constructed, you can hear all the loud families and late night yelling by drunks from inside the hotel rooms. The timeshares are obviously their priority at the expense of everyone else. It's weird to be frank. Many of the activities are broken or unavailable due to lack of staff. The website is totally misleading; there are photos and lists of activities that are no where to be seen once you get there. I could go on and on. The ownership flat out doesn't care; I assume because the ramshackle timeshare/condos are keeping it afloat.... and they charge WAAAAAY too much for a hotel stay. For what it costs it should be a much much much better experience. The business is sketchy for sure.

The worse run down accommodations EVER . The rooms and hotel needs a major overhaul. The place has a horrible odor, furniture is OLD, STAINED & DISGUSTING, that I had to put a sheet on the couch & chairs before I would even think about sitting on them. Rugs were dirty & worn out . Main dinning room was not very sanitized, some food from the previous night was left at the food changing server station near our table, Phones in room were filthy and did not work, we had to call the main hotel from our cell phone in order to complain & or request anything. We weee placed in the Capri tower where u needed to take 2 elevators and walk 2 long hallways just to get to the room which was located on the 2nd floor. The kiddie pool paint was chipped. The board d of health should inspect this by whole facility . But if you want activities, this hotel does offers plenty . It is a shame how they made this hotel go downhill .

Do not go! The website and photos of the location are completely outdated. The place is beyond run down and clearly have not done any upkeep is years. There is a disgusting smell throughout the entire property. Our room was not only out dated, furniture stained and falling apart, the most uncomfortable bed, it had numerous bugs- spiders, flies, roaches- my children were beyond scared. We left early- we would rather lose money then stay at that place any longer. The staff is extremely rude and clearly numb to this feedback since they hear it all the time. Save your money and time and do not visit this hotel.

I would like to start off that I do not typically write many reviews however, after visiting Villa Roma in August 2023 I felt compelled to do so. My family and I (including small children) traveled to Villa Roma for the first time, hoping for a casual, fun 2 night stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an unfriendly front desk employee who abruptly let us know check in wasn’t until 4pm and provided no guidance on what to do with our luggage or car in the meantime. On a side note, the lobby was very pretty but did have a musty, cigarette odor throughout. After figuring out where to park (a pot hole ridden, unorganized and unkept parking lot), We decided to visit the resort’s inflatable park for the kids, which they loved! Sadly, that is one of few things I can say we enjoyed. We next went to the pool, which was pretty empty. The kids loved the kiddie area. It was very buggy but to be expected with the humidity. We were disappointed the pool restaurant was closed due to it being a Sunday but the pool bar was open. At 4pm our rooms were ready and things went downhill very fast. We stayed in the hotel section - rooms were completely dilapidated, dated furniture, fixtures etc.and did not seem clean. Flies and other insects in the room. The metal, old door to enter the room had 3 barely working locks. Carpeting smelled terrible and gave the entire room (a 2 bedroom suite) an odor. We stayed one night but the room conditions were unhealthy and unaccommodating for our family. Side note: The food at the Garden Cafe was just okay. We reported the issues to the front desk and a manager who were completely unaccountable, dismissive and rude. They provided no assistance to our concerns and basically presented as though it wasn’t their problem. We will not be returning to Villa Roma - it’s sad as it has the foundation to be a lovely place (the other guests were great, the pool area, bounce house section, playground), however it needs a drastic renovation and revitalization as it is falling apart. They also need to consider new management or training, who know how to handle guest matters in a polite professional manner. Very disappointed.

Didn’t have the room we booked with a balcony. Run away as fast as possible. Not enough staff to handle check in. A lot of yelling going on in the lobby. This is a very very very poorly managed property. It is not worth the money. Try a tent in a field somewhere.

I would like to recognize Joel Peterson at the front desk for providing +1 Customer Service!!! We experienced trouble with our vehicle and needed assistance with coordinating transport of our vehicle to a local repair shop - it was Joel to the rescue! He was so knowledgeable and accommodating - providing information and checking in frequently to see if we needed any further assistance. You don’t always experience such a level of courtesy & concern - and honestly Joel helped to turn a dilemma into a positive outcome. My family needed to return home on Sunday, and leave our vehicle behind for repairs, and Joel offered to be the site contact to help coordinate the pickup and transport of our vehicle to the repair shop. All worked out and we got our car back safe & sound. Joel, we want to personally say “Thank you!” The Villa Roma is lucky to have you.

We had an amazing first stay at Villa Roma. Everyone was so friendly and our room was very comfortable. We stayed for Christmas weekend and enjoyed the festivities they had including Santa! My kids loved the recreation room - so many games. We also all loved the food. My kids are normally quite picky with food, but they enjoyed everything! The breakfast was my favorite. Don’t forget to ask for Luiz, he was our favorite server! I would love to go back for the snow activities and also for the summer fun.

This restaurant is so good, my family and I had to visit it twice. They make decent bar food, like burgers and wings, and they also make incredible Italian dishes. The staff was also super friendly.
