Seminary Hill Orchard & Cidery

We went for dinner and it was absolutely lovely. We did not stay overnight, so I cannot speak to that. They have several vegetarian options which is great. They not only have cider, but also have local New York distilled spirits. The view was beautiful. Seems like they have live music there sometimes, which is great. The only reason I took off one star was because I was charged for dessert that I did not order. (They said they would refund it but then never did.) It was an unfortunate experience, but the rest of the evening was so lovely. I would still probably go back, I will just check my bill really carefully before signing it!

I was recently there for a wedding and when I say it was raining all night, it was raining all night. The wedding was held in the tent, we had to walk back up to the building in the rain for cocktail hour then back down to tent for reception. The walkway is not covered, and the provided umbrellas didn't work well again the rain and wind. There are no bathrooms by the tent so you had to walk back up to the building...in the rain. My husband is disabled and uses a walker, so walking back and forth to use the restroom was quite challenging. I had to walk with him every time to hold an umbrella. At the very least, a handicap bathroom by the tent would be helpful or a covered walkway. The wedding was lovely and despite the back and forth and getting wet, we had a lovely time.

Had a wonderful experience at Ciderfest! Super knowledgeable staff, delicious cider, and a stunning location.

This place is absolutely stunning. The views from the taproom are breathtaking—mountains as far as the eye can see. We visited on a Sunday and it wasn’t too busy. We were seated outside at a high-top table overlooking the hills, which made the whole experience feel extra special.

Tried a flight of ciders—all were solid, especially if you prefer the drier side. The burger was pretty standard, but the cabbage? Surprisingly delicious and full of flavor.

The taproom itself is beautiful, and there’s a large lawn area perfect for relaxing on a nice day. I’d definitely come back to hang out, sip cider, and soak in the scenery.

Really incredible place - best views in Sullivan county and maybe even upstate NY! Cider is always delicious. Cocktails are hit or miss. As locals it would be nice to see the food menu change more frequently and with the seasons - corn & tomatoes in May? 🤔 A few questionable food things I've noticed over the years, but still a wonderful experience.

The food is to die for, management is great, the staff is a great, friendly team. They offer tours of their distillery, weddings and events with their beautiful location. It is the place to be. Prices are up there but for good reason.

Walkability: Very spacious as well as wheelchair accessible.

Food and drinks: Amazing! The cuts they use on their meats are just mmm and their greens, vegetables, fruits and spices are just a perfect the drinks are made professionally and they also offer kid friendly drinks.

Beautiful venue for events, knowledgeable staff.

Came here for a friend's wedding and was blown away by the views alone. Taking in all the beautiful New York southern tier foliage right before the fall was breathtaking but the good doesn't stop there. They offer a great variety of ciders on tap, some sweet, some tart, you can find a taste profile you like on their menu I'm sure. I personally recommend the Tom's Beard (no bias I swear). Food was quite good too, especially cocktail hour, the fried chicken skin and BLT sliders had me head over heels. Dinner was family style (which was a first for a wedding I had seen) and honestly paled in comparison to the previous apps, but still on the better side of wedding food I've had, the short rib being a particular favorite. Staff was great and very kind to the whole party during our whole stay there, for any upstate plans in my future, I'll certainly make sure to stop by again on my way.

This review is long overdue. My family brought me in for a birthday dinner on 8/3. Emma was our server that night and she was terrific. She did not rush us and let us enjoy our meal and our time together. The food and drinks were (as always) delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful. We will be back!

We got married at Seminary Hill over Labor Day weekend and 10000% would recommend them to any couple looking to have an unforgettable experience. I cannot praise them highly enough, from the food to the service to the views! The entire team went above and beyond at every step to make our guests feel comfortable, and the professionalism was only outmatched by a magical sunset. I loved that we had the whole property for the day of our wedding so we had time for our vendors to set up, our guests got a private tour of the cidery, and to move our party from the orchard to the tasting room to the tent to the bonfire to the tasting room again! The pricing is clear and transparent and this team knows what they are doing.
