The owner bartender seems not to like his customers. Will make eye contact with you and walk right past. Not the first time I've been there.
Needs an attitude adjustment

Really delicious food. I am pretty sure it's called the Ahi Tuna it by itself is the reason for 5 stars let alone everything else too. Found myself saying wow throughout the whole meal. Perfect mixtures for the drinks as well. Our server was very very nice. I don't remember the price as my visit was a few week ago. However that is how good the food is I am still thinking about it all these weeks later will definitely come back.

Unfortunately, my birthday celebration at Green Gate was a letdown. My parents, especially my mom with mobility difficulties, struggled to get in. The bartender's rude comment about not serving us until 4:30 didn't help set a positive tone. The website states they open at 3pm and we went at 4 to beat the Saturday night dinner rush. No rush no one besides bar customers were present ,

Things only got worse from there. The bartender also acted as our server, and his attitude was appalling. He seemed angry and resentful, like he didn't want us there. He kept telling us they were out of various items, then disappeared into the kitchen, leaving us waiting. When he didn't return promptly, we decided to leave and find a better experience elsewhere.

What really took the cake was his complete lack of concern or apology when we let him know we were leaving. It was clear he wasn't bothered in the least.

I wouldn't set foot in this place again if you paid me. The atmosphere was uninviting, with an old, unpleasant smell. It seems to be more of a bar than a restaurant, and not a very welcoming one at that. To others, be forewarned: Green Gate is not worth your time or money. *1/5 stars* would be generous.

The bartender, who was also the server, was rude from the moment we walked in the door. Then, when taking our order, told my mother to get something else because she didn't want lettuce on her wrap. I didn't realize he was eating the food, not my mother. The food was okay at best.
Don't go if you expect to be treated nicely.
Sad, very poor customer service.

Well, that is the last time I go to the Green Gate in Camillus. I am so disappointed because really like the food there but the Bartender has put me over the edge. He was just not very nice at all. A grumpy guy who made our experience a poor one.

Bartender not very friendly. Small portion with the broiled fish. Never checked on us. Never even asked us if we wanted a menu. We had to ask. It was early and not busy. We ate in the bar. Very dark.

Was here for a business networking meeting and the service, food, and atmosphere was absolutely perfect! Would highly recommend this venue for your next event.

My soup was very good, but my dinner entrée wasn't as expected. Had my dinner been prepared properly, I would give more stars for the food as I think there is potential there.

The biggest issue was the service. In addition to being inattentive, the service was curt and uncivil. I know the waiter was busy, so I would give a lot of accommodation for being very busy, but his behavior was really unpleasant regardless of whether he was busy. Our party was afraid to even talk around him given the way he treated us and it brought down our experience considerably. He kept bumping into one member of our party when reaching over to set food and drinks down on the table and it was uncomfortable. One person didn't get their drink and we had to keep asking for refills. One of our party said it was the most awkward dinner she had ever been to, and it was all attributed to the service.

I suspect regulars have a better experience considering the positive reviews I see, but I wouldn't think it should matter how often you go. Never returning here. I hate not supporting local restaurants, but this was just so unpleasant, I had to be honest.

Stopped in to have a drink or so and to listen to some live jazz boogie and some rag time music.... It was very enjoyable.... They have live music every Thursday no $$$ to enter this quaint historic building.... Dinner and other food is also available.... Well worth stopping in....

Great little spot in Camillus, quiet dining room. Fast service.
The beef on wreck was tasty and the Philly cheese steak quesadilla was also.

Food was decent, service was curt and there was a patron that would not stop joining our conversation even after being nicely told-that we came to have a quiet conversation to ourselves. He was "offended," bartender was oblivious, or acting it so we packed our stuff to go. Disappointing, used to love going there. Cold atmosphere now-all the way around.

Tasty food on a limited menu. Pleasant service from a very limited staff. A worthwhile visit if you're in the area, but not worth a drive.
