Abbott's Frozen Custard

Althentic frozen custard. Not Dairy Queen!!

Delicious with a nice selection of flavors. I think it was the best custard I’ve ever had! The staff was really friendly too.

Slow service, minimal choice of product. Probably would not try it again.

My friend has a severe peanut allergy, and her mint Oreo ice cream was cross-contaminated with a peanut. This resulted in a serious anaphylactic reaction that required the use of an EpiPen. We specifically ordered ice cream with no nuts, so this was an incredibly dangerous oversight.
To make matters worse, the ice cream was already melted when served, and the $5 “kiddie” size amounted to barely four bites — huge waste of money.

This experience was not only disappointing but posed a serious health risk. Cross-contamination of allergens should never happen in a food service setting, and we hope this issue is addressed immediately to prevent harm to others.

Zero stars would be most appropriate here. Arrived at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday July 27th. A couple of cars in the drive-thru. We walked inside. We were so excited to get a vanilla custard with butterscotch sauce. Our first impression of this place was that it is filthy from floor to ceiling. There is a busted down empty cooler that greets you when you walk in, with a sign on it that says out of order. There were two female employees, maybe 20 years old, dark hair, that didn't even bother to say hello when we walked in, and both seemed completely annoyed that we were even there. One of them was assisting the only customer ahead of us, which seemed to be taking a lifetime for that customer to get one dish of custard, the other one at the drive-thru. When we finally got one of the employees to come over and assist us, she turned and looked at us and said what can I get you in a completely annoyed tone, and body language to match. My response was how come you're not smiling you work in an ice cream store? No response, and no change in attitude. Since their menu indicated they had vanilla custard and they had butterscotch sauce that's what we ordered. Only to be greeted with yet another annoyed look from her as well as a snarky comment telling us they don't have butterscotch anymore. Although it is still on their sign as being available. I used to drive by and feel bad for this place because there never seemed to be a lot of customers. As a former business owner myself I try to help other small business owners be successful by going to their establishments. After this experience, nope! I don't wish bad on anyone but this business does not deserve Canandaigua's money. They should take all of their scowly employees, fire them, and close up shop! As luck would have it there is a better option. Take the time to travel over to Sharks Frozen Custard on 5 & 20. Great service there, great portion size, and not nearly as expensive as this dump! Never going back to Abbott's. Never. Ever.

The lady swore in my face while taking my order and then put my ice cream in a dish instead of a cone while I asked for a cone, and I saw her in the back spit in my cream. #weallDONTscreamforicecream clearly she spits for hers.

Google says they close at 10. Arrived before 9, end of short line just outside open door. Told we wouldn’t be served because when we stepped through the door (from just outside it) it was 9. No one behind us, 3 in front. Explained we walked a mile, told to stand on foot between cars in the long drive-through, since it’s open til 9:30. Been going for years but was insulting.

Walked in at 9:00 and was told they wouldn’t accept us unless we drove through the drive-thru. We had walked 30 minutes to the location so we couldn’t use the drive thru. Meanwhile on Google it says they close at 10pm.

Mmmm my own custom sundae made with vanilla custard, strawberries, Spanish peanuts, whipped cream and a cherry. So decadent, so good, tastes like summer!

Why would Abbotts sell Frozen Custard without a lid on it. I go through the drive-thru I get myself and ice cream and I decided to get my mother one as well I am then handed my mother's ice cream first and then I get my ice cream don't get me wrong the people are friendly the Frozen Custard is amazing but why would you not put domed lids when a person orders multiple ice creams and there's one person in the car I can't imagine if I wanted to pick up Frozen Custard for the family as it was I add Frozen Custard all over the front seat of my car the center console and the floorboard

Ice Cream was really good. prices were INSANE. Almost $10 for a shake. It smelled like scum and the workers looked like they had somewhere more important to be.
