I don't know what was better, the food or the service! Excellent spot, you won't be sad to come here! Really good food and really nice people.
We've had good experiences here in the past. However, when we went in for breakfast on Juneteenth, that was a different story. It wasn't too busy and we were seated shortly. We had our son with us, 19 months old and he was getting antsy as we waited for 25 minutes. We kept looking at our server, but she never aknowledged us after getting us menus and a high chair when we were first seated. We finally got up to walk out after she served the couple behind us with a younger baby who had come in 10 minutes after us. Really disappointed in the service. It really put a damper on our whole day unfortunately. We had to skip breakfast entirely and give little man a banana to tide him over. It was clear she was the only server other than the guy bringing food out, but she wasn't in a hurry to do much of anything. We didn't even get waters. I'm sorry to leave a bad review for a business that has been good to us in the past, but want to warn others of our recent experience.
The restaurant was super busy but the 2 people on the floor did an excellent job of keeping it moving

My wife and I have been here many times - our favorite place to eat in Canandaigua. This time I had a Chef's salad and the Chili - both were excellent!
(my only tiny gripe is really a general pet peeve with eating establishments these days...just provide straws. I know in today's environment it's the thing to do but when a cup shows up a little worse for wear, it's clearly been around, I'd prefer a straw.)
I recommend this establishment highly! Clean, very good service, nice atmosphere..and above all, excellent food!

We stopped by for a late breakfast on a Sunday morning. It was a full house but everyone was friendly. We sat at the counter and hats off to Craig! He was very helpful to the whole operation, jumping in to do whatever was needed. He took care of the counter folks with keeping the coffee and waters refilled. He also helped by sorting silverware, bussing tables, clearing the counter and entertaining us the whole time. Say hi to him when you visit!

Good food, exactly what you would expect at a diner like this.

Tasty fresh food served pretty fast and with a lot of care. Just the sort of laid back diner atmosphere I love. Only knocked off one star for food because my hash Benedict eggs had no runniness at all, but maybe that’s on me to have not specified. If you expect runny yolks from your eggs, better specify when ordering

Honestly, we were sooo disappointed by our entire experience. First of all we arrived at the restaurant at 10am and were told it was a 20min wait, okay fine. We finally were seated after 20min and then waited an additional 20 min to get water and order our food. It took nearly an hour for our food to come out….cold mind you, and partially incorrect. I ordered eggs benedict and my friends ordered poached eggs with other things. The poached eggs on all three meals might as well have been hard boiled eggs. They were gross. The food (especially the home fries) was SO heavily salted we literally had a hard time eating it. Listen, I’m a salt girl and the potatoes were simply not edible. It literally looked like the chef simply POURED salt onto them. And to top off the entire experience my friend had a long black hair threaded through some of her potatoes. We will most likely never be returning to this place. We were super excited to try this place out and drove quite a bit, but will never ever be back.
