Lafayette Motel & Restaurant

Only ate at the restaurant, and it remains one of our favorite breakfast spots. As usual, we also bought a loaf of their house made Raisin Bread!

Food and drinks: Great breakfast! All the omelets are great and the fresh baked bread is fantastic. Never had a bad meal here! Super friendly staff as well, many who have been there for years.

I stayed at this charming hotel for three nights, from October 11-13. The property beautifully blends historical character with modern updates, making it a true gem in Canandaigua, NY. The rooms are tastefully updated with fresh paint, new flooring, and a well-appointed bathroom. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a peaceful and quiet stay. Despite it being a holiday weekend, the rates were very reasonable. The room was spotless, and the staff went above and beyond with their friendly, attentive service. A delightful bonus was the on-site restaurant, offering excellent breakfast and lunch options, making the entire experience even more enjoyable.

Stop in for a quick breakfast and was overcharged for eggs and toast. Most expensive eggs I’ve had in my life. Wasn’t the first time I’ve been there but it will be the last. - never saw a menu or price list. my mistake but 20 bucks when everywhere else I pay 12 is a bit expensive. you have a nice day.

Restaurant has amazing breakfast food! Taste like a good home cooked meal! Highly recommend their woodstead sauce(locally made) and home made bread which can be purchased and used at home as well.

Prices are higher than they used to be, but it's like that everywhere.

I stopped in here for a late breakfast. The fare was quick, simple, and good to the point. I had the eggs benedict, highly recommend. The kitchen was very fast in preparing this elegeant, but simple breakfast.

I did not visit the Motel, only the restaurant.

I stayed here in the summer of 2009 for a wedding. I know that was 15 years ago. This past weekend we meet up with some old friends, who also stayed at the Lafayette. With shared some laughs and talked about the trip and how kind the staff was. The breakfast at the restaurant was incredible. I believe it was a gentlemen named Terry who we all remembered. A very kind man. Service lacks these days at so many places and industries. I hope all is still well at the Lafayette.

In town for my nephew's wedding. My family had 3 rooms, all were big and roomy; no one felt like they were on top of one another. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable! We loved that those of us that are early risers could grab coffee at the lobby (with real creamer in the room frig!!) and sit outside of our room enjoying the beautiful weather. We had time to kill until the wedding and enjoyed the yard area to gather and chat. Wish we had time to utilize the fire pit area - next time! Breakfast at the restaurant was delicious and the folks there could not be nicer! If I remember, Colleen was our server and she was fantastic!! Of course Debbie helped us book our rooms and she was so very pleasant! Can't wait to visit again!Rooms: Loved having 2 queen beds "separated" by a wall! Little table; frig; microwave; 2ND SINK!!Walkability: EASY WALK TO LAKE AREAFood & drinks: DELICIOUS!

My family stayed at the motel for a family wedding! The motel was great...clean rooms, great outside area. We had breakfast and it was delicious, all made to order with freshly backed breads! Can't say enough good things...will definitely go back!!

This is the very best resturant in Canandaigua ; especially at breakfast.The people are attentaive and you only need to visit once for them to remember your order.It is out family go to resturant.

Just went to restaurant food very good but they charge you for a lemon in your water and it was a small glass and they don't give you refills.
