I like this place, I definitely recommend it. Summer evenings on the terrace overlooking the lake will remain unforgettable

Wonderful! Also they DO now accept credit cards, as of Sept 2 (though I had withdrawn cash from the hotel ATM expecting that they did no). My puppy and I decided to get ice cream before leaving the hotel. I ordered a bowl of vanilla for us to share, but instead, the kind bartender made her her very own puppy sundae for free! It was adorable, a little bow of vanilla with 2 heart shaped dog cookies. He was very friendly and the setting glorious. Will try sone of the yummy drinks next time!

Cash only for my friends that are as bad at carrying cash as I am. They do have an ATM inside the hotel. Very friendly staff, and delicious drinks. Views that can’t be beat. Plenty of parking and options. The chips and dips were both freshly made and divine. Definitely a must stop when visiting the lake.

We are Hilton diamond members and have close to 100 night stays over the last 3 years. The experience at Hotel Canandaigua is by far our worst experience at any Hilton property. Upon arrival we learned that our reservation that was booked and confirmed through Hilton was no longer being honored for the suite we had reserved. We were given a standard room at no price difference than the suite that was reserved and confirmed. The room was poorly furnished. No where to sit other than the bed. Parts yet to be installed were in the drawers. The toilet paper holder was barely hanging on. The TV stopped working (although this was quickly fixed by maintenance). The gym of hotel had already flooded and was closed (we found this out from security at night when this should be told at checkin). Additionally, our membership daily credit was only applied for half of our stay so our final bill was incorrect. We have contacted Hilton with these issues with zero resolve. Hilton has a problem with their booking system and refuses to standby confirmed bookings. While we have had good experiences with Hilton the true values of a company come out when there is an issue and Hilton has failed us miserably. We would not recommend this hotel or consider staying here in the future.
