We had a really great dinner at the Cove! We were unsure of this place because it is in a hotel, but it was an amazing place to eat a quick, but romantic dinner! The restaurant is new and decor is awesome, but the views are the best part. You look right onto the lake with mountains in the background. The food and drinks were very good and unique. The even had non alcoholic wines and mocktails. I would go back just for drinks at the bar. They had a vegan entree that was very good (not boring) but the stars were the calamari (best we've ever had!) and the fresh pasta. You should go here!

Beautiful setting. Nice menu which offers a little of everything. Food was very good. Husband got the pasta & I got the Friday fry fish special. Drinks from the bar were great too.

Another wonderful meal at The Cove. Brunch was delicious (I had the avocado toast and I added a poached egg-- perfectly cooked), service was friendly and attentive, and we had a lovely table overlooking the lake on a sunny morning. We did not feel rushed, and our server (Emily) went out of her way to make sure we had a pot of hot coffee right away. We'll be back!

We were able to book a table for 8, the morning of our visit to the Cove Restaurant. We were seated in a timely fashion and our server was there very quickly to take hot and cold beverage orders. Our food order was also taken promptly and food arrived within 30 minutes. All special orders regarding sauces on the side or additional sauces were accurately executed. Hot coffee was offered. In fact, the pot was left at the table to ease refills. Everyone was satisfied with their order and our server remained attentive and friendly throughout our experience. We recommend the Cove.

This was our first dining experience at The Cove. It was Valentine's Day and the restaurant was crowded so that surely led to the noise factor. Despite the crowd, the service was attentive and knowledgeable. the food was creative and well--prepared. I had duck and my wife had salmon. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and came with interesting accompaniments. The ambiance is fine, although it is more like an upscale hotel dining room than a fine dining restaurant. Overall, it was a delightful experience and we intend to return.

We were at The Cove for a birthday brunch on a Sunday. It was fabulous! Everything about the experience was stellar, especially the food. My husband declared it one of the top 10 meals he has ever had and he has traveled extensively. The Brie stuffed French Toast was a highlight. I highly recommend getting one for the table to share in addition to your meal.
We were regular diners from The Cove opening last year and have never been disappointed. The seating outside is spectacular in the summer and the seating inside is as well because the view of the Lake and hills is the BEST on Canandaigua. Last night the Salmon entree and the Duck were TREMENDOUS!!! And as always, our server Lisa was a PLEASURE!!! We will be back again and again!!!

Our second visit. Our first visit was soon after they opened and while we were disappointed in the service we acknowledged that they were just opened and didn't want to be too harsh. However, several months later and on our second visit there are still obvious issues in service and food/drink selection. We initially reserved a high top for dinner, but after being seated by the hostess no one paid attention to us. We went back to the hostess who said that the bar staff would be waiting on us (well that wasn't happening) so we opted to move into the dining room. Service there was attentive if a bit inconsistent (we learned of a dinner special by listening to another table). Cocktails were lackluster and a long time coming. The kitchen had run out of one of the proteins featured on the menu, which eliminated two entrees from consideration. (The food we could order was good.) There wasn't any fresh brewed coffee available. Our server spent the evening apologizing for the shortcomings. None of our party felt the desire to return anytime soon. Do better people. This was a disappointment.

The food was delicious. I started with the carrot ginger soup, followed by the crispy brussel sprouts and my entree was the rib eye. I would highly recommend you share the rib eye; it’s 14 oz! I paired my entree with the Mama Chianti absolutely perfect match.Food came out quick and correct; the service was excellent. Thank you Lisa.

We enjoyed the New Year's Eve tasting dinner. The food was very tasty and the choices were good. Service was great and very friendly staff. The only thing we didn't love was the Black Forest dessert- it was dry and bland. Wish they'd had the crème brûlée that was advertised. I would definitely go back there for dinner!
