NY Kitchen classes are very much worth it, whether a drink class or food class! Love it there.
It was nice đđ and good...
Pretzel class today was so good. Such fun. Well developed and presented. Sarah was wonderful!
Went to a pretzel making class at NY Kitchen and had so much fun. Clear and concise instructions on how to make pretzels. Instructor was pleasant and knowledgeable. After class went to the onsite restaurant, Mezzanine and had a very good lunch. A nice way to spend a few hours.
Our server Olivia was great - beautiful way to enjoy a Summer night before a CMAC concert! Food was great - fun drinks!
Fish tacos looked like frozen fish sticks. Service was below average both at the bar and the table.
Amazing food and great staff
Emma was an awesome server! Food was really fast and good too.
Tasty lunch at this new restaurant, located in a big building that also houses cooking school
My son gave me a birthday present of the 2 of us attending a cooking class to make a pasta dish from scratch and enjoy it for lunch. We had a wonderful time. The instructor is outstanding, as is the equipment. We started with flour and eggs and ended up with a delicious sauce on our 'home made' pasta - an experience that I'll never forget.

It was a fabulous time
Fantastic happy hour kicking off Women's History Month. Thanks NYK for hosting!!
Took a Chefâs Table Class with Chef Eli Tate. Had such a nice time. He was funny and very informative. Gave different tips from holding a knife to showing us how to peel a parsnip with the back of the knife (I honestly never knew that was possible). We made Marry Me Chicken with a Parsnip and potato puree and roasted asparagus for the sides. It was my first time making Mary Me Chicken. It came out so delicious! Any questions I had no matter how silly I felt asking he was very reassuring and got me back on track. I will definitely come back and take another class. Highly recommended. You wonât be disappointed.
I accompanied my child to a celebratory reception here a few weeks ago. We paid in advance for the event. My child is highly allergic to both fish and shellfish. Other than the cheese/crackers tray, veggie tray, and cookie tray, the main food was fried (French fries and chicken tenders). I asked the employee serving the fried food if it was fried in the same oil as fish due to my childâs allergy. She said she didnât know, so my child should probably not eat it. She didnât seem concerned and barely even looked up at us. I stood there waiting to see if she would do anything to help for probably about 30 seconds. She repeated that itâs best if my child just doesnât eat, commented on that she kept running out of fries, and then started serving other people. This was at the end of the buffet line and the employee could clearly see that all my child had in her plate was one piece of cheese and one cracker as her full dinner.
Most restaurants either immediately offer to find out if allergens are in the food or immediately offer an alternative food option to accommodate an allergy. This employee did neither. Even teenagers working at Bill Grays can confidently tell me that theyâll ensure my childâs French fries are fried in a separate fryer than fish.
After this, I took my child off to the side and explained to her that I would take her out to dinner somewhere on the way home. This employee (probably mid 30âs to early 40âs in age) overheard and said we could get back in the buffet line (which we had already stood in for 15-20 minutes) and by the time we got back around, she might be able to ask someone whether or not the food was fried in the same oil as fish. Why would I make my 7 year old stand in line for an additional 15-20 minutes just to potentially be told she still canât eat dinner?
We left the event earlier than planned in order to get food for my child. I highly recommend NY Kitchen trains their employees in basic food safety information and how to accommodate allergies. I would not recommend that anyone with an allergy eat here.
It was a beautiful sunny, snowy afternoon the day of the Merrymaking makers Market event that I attended. I bought several unique gifts made by local vendors. I then had the pleasure of going upstairs and eating at the New York kitchen Café. The multiple windows invited the sunshine in where one can look out at the lake or at the grounds. The staff were informative and friendly. The food was comforting, full of flavor, with a unique twist on some traditional dishes. Please come out and support New York kitchen, whether you choose to take a cooking class, enjoy the tasting room of local wines from the finger, lakes, or enjoy a delicious meal.
