Mercato's

Went there recently for the first time. It's a different style pizza. Had the large Margherita. I'll give it a 'very good', but not great. If you want great, take a little trip to New Haven. Staff was super friendly. Now the bad news. As I'm eating with my family, I notice the owner, YES THE OWNER, repeatedly putting his bare fingers in the mozzarella bin and eating the cheese. Accidentally stumbled on this place. Good mistake. Unassuming on the outside being located in a somewhat rundown strip mall next to the Tractor Supply. Cute and welcoming on the inside. The hostess/bartender/waitress was very personable, pleasant and efficient. The food came out promptly and was HOT! It was also delicious. Such a great little place.

It is rare for me to be able to eat a meal without issues, because of my allergies. Daulton was fantastic. I asked him about cocktails, and he picked a delicious one out for me. He paid attention to my allergies and made sure the kitchen was aware of them. He also helped me pick between steak and pasta (their pasta is homemade). The shrimp caprese was delicious.
