I just moved to Catskill; a mile up the road from this fine establishment. After unpacking, my friend and I stopped into Mike's Diner and my initial experience was a feeling of comfort. The rustic atmosphere gave me a sense of warmth and nostalgia. People at the barstool countertop were eating breakfast; conversating amongst themselves while the families and friends at the tables joyfuly did the same. The smell of fresh coffee, eggs, bacon, ect, felt like I was truly home.Much respect to the cook; the food was absolutely AMAZING. The waitresses as well. They were very kind, professional and persistent in providing the best service they could, which was more than enough.ALSO, Mike's prices are VERY reasonable and affordable to treat the family. I'll be frequenting Mike's now that I'm aware of how great it is.****I RECOMMEND THE BISCUITS AND GRAVY. THEY'RE SOOOOO GOOD...THEY REMIND ME OF MY ARMY DAYS BACK IN FT POLK LOUISIANA*****

Throw back diner with solidly reliable food, kind service, and reasonably priced. Had a yummy authentic diner breakfast. Fresh eggs, sausage, hashbrowns (with or without onions!), and toast. Also good ol’ fresh brewed coffee (no fancy latte capp stuff!) And the bran muffin was like eating a dessert (moist, dense, and molasses infused). TV in the corner had old reruns playing at a light volume which engaged fun conversation. Also a great sign - “Stressed spelled backwards is Desserts!” made us smile and reset our day for the better.Many thanks to Katrinka (sp?) for her service at the counter and in the kitchen!Locals continued to flock in.Will definitely return.

How Dare you charge 32 dollars for 1 piece of French toast and a short stack of pancakes!! Avoid this place at all costs they over charge n make up their own prices sad that they think people can't read prices or do basic math NEVER EVER AGAIN TRULY A SHAME TOO !!

Old school local diner with all the vibes of yesteryear. The place felt like a time capsule of quaint aesthetic from the decor to the local people which themselves are hilarious.The food was classic diner fare. We went for the all day breakfast and were not disappointed. The banana walnut pancakes were bigger than my wife's head (and she's got a noggin). If you enjoy a good hot hungry man breakfast in the area with no frills at dirt cheap prices then this is the place for you.

Very rustic and charming in nestled in the town of Catskills in Upstate NY. The food was great. I went in early October, cozy fall season. There were enough tables and parking was easy. The staff was not the most friendliest one I’ve encountered . Overall, I’d highly recommend it.
