Throw back diner with solidly reliable food, kind service, and reasonably priced. Had a yummy authentic diner breakfast. Fresh eggs, sausage, hashbrowns (with or without onions!), and toast. Also good ol’ fresh brewed coffee (no fancy latte capp stuff!) And the bran muffin was like eating a dessert (moist, dense, and molasses infused). Old school local diner with all the vibes of yesteryear. The place felt like a time capsule of quaint aesthetic from the decor to the local people which themselves are hilarious.The food was classic diner fare. We went for the all day breakfast and were not disappointed. The banana walnut pancakes were bigger than my wife's head (and she's got a noggin). If you enjoy a good hot hungry man breakfast in the area with no frills at dirt cheap prices then this is the place for you.

I just moved to Catskill; a mile up the road from this fine establishment. After unpacking, my friend and I stopped into Mike's Diner and my initial experience was a feeling of comfort. The rustic atmosphere gave me a sense of warmth and nostalgia. People at the barstool countertop were eating breakfast; conversating amongst themselves while the families and friends at the tables joyfuly did the same.
