Love this place! Been to Mel's a few times now, I've never been disappointed. Both breakfast and lunch are very good, the ingredients are fresh, portions are plenty and the staff is friendly. I could tell that it's the place where the locals go to eat, beats a chain everytime.I haven't told you about best part yet, Mel's is also an authentic country bakery, so, bring home desert. Nice little surprise we found when we accidentally turned the wrong way! We were starving too!We had big battered fish for the lenten season. Cooked extremely well. Perfect amount of batter. There were a lot of side dishes to choose from -- and the portions were plentiful.The staff was friendly & attentive. It was my first time here. Seating is very limited, which is unfortunate because my breakfast was delicious!!. I had their homemade rye with my breakfast. I will definitely be going here again.Parking: In a plaza, but when it's busy. It's difficult to find a spot.
