We go to Crabtree every year for our anniversary and this year was just a little disappointing. Apparently they are renovating, but the menu was about 25% of the usual menu and they were even out of one of their limited amount of entrées. And this was on a Saturday night. The waiter who took our drink orders didn't get that right either. The ambience, which was once very elegant is now just very basic and plain. Valentine's Day is always difficult at a restaurant but it could not have been nicer. From the welcome we received at the front (big smiles, coat check, etc) through dessert and a complimentary rose on leaving, it was a magical evening. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable.
I have dined here many times and have never had a bad experience. In fact, my son got married there. The restaurant and ground are beautiful. The service spot on and they are friendly and accommodating
