We went to lovely Chatham for the last day of the film festival and ended the day with dinner at the Blue Plate. Exquisite. Waitstaff were gracious and attentive. We had calamari and a mango salad for appetizers. My husband had the porkchop and I got the salmon as entrees. It was such a treat! Highly recommend.

I am upset with this restaurant. It used to be my favorite. Now, apparently, there is a new owner and management. No bread is served, chicken is nothing to write home about. Before, their chicken was high quality, really amazing and superior. Appetizers were nice, but also serving 4 minuscular ribs for $16 is not good. Everything is worse and more expensive. Wines are also not great. It used to be a truly amazing place. Not any more. Tres leches was very bad. Water for tea - not boiled. It upsets me when it is the same restaurant, but new owner and quality goes down, but the price goes up. Do better.

My most recent experience at Blue Plate was getting a burger, which arrived medium rare. Apparently someone else at my table wanted rare, but their burger arrived with no pink at all. After explicitly requesting, it's got to be pink. The kitchen staff is all pretty new, and although they are working hard, they aren't listening to customer feedback that much. The management is doing great, and the servers are very sweet and thoughtful. Kitchen crew needs to get a clue. Yes, it rhymes because i am funny. Blue plate is kinda fancy, kinda pricey for what they serve, and kinda same as everyone else. We like the management, old family friends.I give a 4-star review because the kitchen needs help with following directions. I would recommend. Not highly, tho. A for trying. I'd like to up ny rating...

Superior wait person who helped greatly when our 5 person reservation had not been recorded. Inventive food, well prepared. Check out the oat ice cream. Mussels just like I make at home. Something to eat for every person. I'll go back.

We went back to the Blue Plate for dinner before seeing a show at the Mac-Haydn Theater. We both had the grilled salmon. It was outstanding, and our server, Riley, was attentive but not intrusive. She had complete knowledge of the menu and made an otherwise great meal even better. This is an old Chatham hotel with a bar in its basement. Wrap around windows on the first floor display the beautiful village. Prices are reasonable. Go see Riley when you are in the neighborhood. You won't regret it

What a gem! This past weekend was our first time here and we would absolutely come back again! We were traveling and staying in Hudson, but were drawn to the amazing menu, so we went a little out of our way. It was so worth it! Not only was the food delicious, they had many options that worked with food allergies and preferences.An added bonus was the cozy bar/dining room downstairs with live music. This topped off a great night.The atmosphere was extremely welcoming and friendly. We met both David, the owner and also the manager, and they could not have been nicer!

Nice facility, good wait staff. The appetizers were good. The entrees were a disappointment. Crab cake was excellent. The orequette was swimming in oil and the pork chop was sliced so thin it was ridiculous. Saw the burger at another table that looked very good.

Quaint setting in a very Charmin's small town in New York. The service was great and excellent food choices. Very close to Mac-Hayden Theater. Note if handicap entrance needed ask the hostess to set up the ramp for the handicap entrance.Wheelchair accessibility: You need to call the restaurant and tell them to set up the handicap entrance ramp.
