Danny the owner was very welcoming, made us a few phenomenal drinks, and we enjoyed our time there. I was blown away by the coffee. We will definitely be coming back next season!

We are longtime customers of 2 Ames. This is our first time dining with them this season. The service was quite slow but that is to be understood when new staff are being trained at the start of the season. What is not to be understood is that we were served an arugula salad with bad arugula, comprised of wilted and yellow leaves, and burned naan. More concerning was a dirty restroom at 5:30 pm with dirty sink, floor,, commode and overflowing trash can when the restaurant had just opened at 5pm. And, the light switch fell off the wall leaving exposed wiring. We hope they turn things around.

The drinks are amazing! But the pesto chicken was on the dry side. The steak was better. The staff were welcoming and helpful.

A truly incredible place and one-of-a-kind experience. 2 Ames brings such a unique vision into the food and drinks they offer. I’ve eaten here for years, whether it be dinner, lunch, or brunch, and it’s consistently exceeded my expectations. No joke, some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had.I’ve always recommended 2 Ames to anyone visiting Chautauqua and will continue to.

I don’t even know where to start. I am never one to write a bad review, but after my experience here I honestly had to. My friends and I went to Two Ames for a small lunch, just the three of us. When we walked in, we were immediately seated, and only two other tables were dining. About 20 minutes later a waitress finally came to take our order. It was fairly simple— we ordered three salads and a tomato soup. We then preceded to wait around an HOUR and FOURTY FIVE minutes for our food. Once again, there were only TWO other tables dining at the time. When the food came out, there was no apologies for the delay or anything. The salads were small, and honestly not very tasty. To pay that amount of money on a meal with terrible service and one that didn’t even taste great was awful. Save your money and skip Two Ames.EDIT TO OWNER RESPONSE:I was not mistaken. We ordered the Kale salad and a tomato soup. It was thick and chunky and served with pieces of bread on the side. Look— I am a lifetime Chautauquan, I really didn’t want to leave this review but it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.

Great spot for food and drinks after a lively concert at the amp but should stay open later. Also lowkey best poutine in the state

Went to 4 Ames with 4 friends last night. Food was great! Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the halibut. Perfectly cooked. The restaurant was extremely busy, but the wait staff handled it well.
All 3 of us had a great meal - really interesting ingredients and tasty. We were seated right away, had an attentive server, good conversation and then lunch came. Cauliflower and black bean, a house salad with interesting dressing, mild but flavorful and a kale/ceasar with chicken. Price was reasonable. Fun to look out the 2nd floor onto passers by/dogs, life!
Horrible meal and not worth the money! Two of us ordered pasta with chicken and broccoli and they forgot to include the chicken (brought it on a separate plate). The dessert was horrible! How you screw up peach pie is beyond me. The whipped cream was dripping all over the pie and it wasn't even served hot. How they thought it was okay to bring out of the kitchen is astounding. Don't waste your money!
Hard to describe how bad both the food and the service were. It was Tuesday taco night, so there were only four things on there menu: 4 kinds of tacos. The one we chose, carnitas, was basically so dry as to be inedible, as we're the rice and beans. And it took an hour for it to arrive.
