Wife and I were in the area for an overnight stop on a road trip and craving some Vietnamese food. We couldn't have been happier with Saigon Spring! All of our food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Some of the best pho I have ever had with amazing meatballs. If you're in the area and craving some fantastic Vietnamese food, go here!

I don’t know why every review on here say that this is authentic Vietnamese food. These reviews read like they’re bought and fake.No, the food isn’t authentic. Vietnamese food is not supposed to be flavorless. It is extremely flavorful with rich umami of fish sauce and multiple spices. This place had the most flavorless Pho I have had. I felt like I was drinking boiled water with MSG. No star anise or cinnamon taste. I bet they didn’t even use an onion in there to make the aromatics. The vermicelli dishes were oily and the beef flavor was weirdly sweet with no hint of lemongrass and the umami of fish sauce. The rice dish was extremely oily. This is at best a rip off of actual Vietnamese food for people who don’t know better. I rather just make Vietnamese food at home.

Saigon Spring surprised me (in a good way!), because I did not expect to find good-tasting Vietnamese food in Albany. I came with my boyfie and his friends, and we all got the stir fried noodles, a couple bowls of pho, and grilled chicken with vermicelli bowl. The grilled chicken with vermicelli bowl (my order) was actually very tasty. It's rare that I can find a Vietnamese place that grills their chicken so well, but Saigon Spring was an exception. The meat was so juicy and so tender. My one gripe, though, was that the fish sauce was poured into my noodles upon serving. I prefer having the fish sauce on the side, as transporting leftovers in a go-to container can get messy otherwise. (My leftovers actually ended up spilling in the car, which was unfortunate.) On the bright side, Saigon Spring serves hefty portions of food at relatively affordable prices. I actually had enough to make another 2 meals the next day! The only other issue we came across was the time it took for us to get seated. I felt that service was a bit slow, and we had to go out of our way for a waiter/waitress to take our orders and provide us our check. All in all, though, I would highly recommend Saigon Spring for a delicious and authentic Vietnamese meal.

absolutely delicious and authentic food! I came here by myself for lunch one day and didn't feel awkward at all. The staff was so kind explaining things on the menu to me as it was my first time there. I had the beef Pho and it was absolutely delicious. I've had many different recipes over the years and this one had a great balance of savory flavor. I took my husband a week later for a date night and again we both enjoyed our food immensely. portion sizes are large and they will wrap your noodles to go from your broth separately if you ask! the ambience on the inside is definitely NOT what the outside is! Affordable and worth it! You should definitely go!!!

If you are even considering trying Vietnamese food, this is the place. If you’ve been to Vietnam before, this is the place. You won’t be disappointed. There’s nothing I haven’t tried here that I wouldn’t order again. Green papaya salad, rare beef and brisket pho!

The food is amazing. This is a place we get food from at least once a week. Their pickled daikon and carrots are my favorite appetizer. I could eat that daikon all day! All their pho is delicious, and I highly recommend trying different ones each time. Their stuff chicken wings are also delicious! They recently redid the inside and it is starting to feel more like a comfortable restaurant I want to sit down at and enjoy my meal. The lighting is much better along with the fresh paint color and wine wall! Service is always great and they are very attentive to needs.
