Great food, friendly owner

Visited recently with a Groupon, having eaten here about 18 months ago. The first thing we noticed was a different menu. They no longer specialize in hand-pulled noodles! That was our reason for coming, since Chinese restaurants are a dime a dozen here. Dumplings were delicious, obviously made in-house. Lo Mein was fine, definitely better than most, but disappointing due to the change in noodles. Lots of Chinese gentlemen eating in the small, clean dining room. Whatever they were eating looked delicious, so I guess that’s a plus.

My friend and I enjoyed our meal. Ample entrees, enough to share.

Tried the chicken with peanuts....wasent chicken at all...very weird consistency and could not eat it. Wont be back!

Great Szechuan food in a nice environment... They also have Chinese favorites for the less adventurous

I liked the food. The seafood lomein was less flavorful than expected. The shepherds purse wonton soup was phenomenal. I'd go back to try something else.

Bubble tea is good. Food is not. For food better look else where.

The female owner DISCRIMINATES customers based on the nationality. Made us to wait more than an hour while others got their foods even though all of them came after us. We asked this, but the owner rather being verbally abusive to us. So much of DISCRIMINATION here.

What a great place. The menu is diverse and does not disappoint. So happy I stumbled upon it.

I have been a patron of tea plus since I moved to NY almost 3 years ago. The original chef was excellent in Sichuan noodles and dishes. After a year or so, tea plus has a new chef specialized in hand-pulled noodles and I literally stopped going. Recently, tea plus hired a new chef again, and this time it is worth going back. Although not as good as the first chef in 2017, I can occasionally fix my cravings of Sichuan food without going to my favorite Fairy Sichuan in Albany. Spicy beef noodle soup, stir fried noodle with lamb, Hot spicy fish are my favorites.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by cute automated “Welcome” voice from the door. We asked the cashier to what her favorite item from the menu is, but we had some difficulty communicated due to the language barrier. We ordered her recommendation, #27 (The Passion Fruit Green Tea with Crystal boba). We were appalled to find that the taste of the tea resembled a concoction of dish soap and Victoria Secret Perfume. The bobas texture is where we really lost it. It did not at all meet our expectations. Not even close. It tasted like slightly firm chopped up jello and had a subtle sweet taste. On the other hand, #17 (Three Guys) was more towards your traditional boba. We were pleasantly surprised by the flavor and consistency of the boba and the jelly in the beverage. While we enjoyed the boba and the jelly, the tea was too sweet for our liking. If you so choose to come here, please be sure to select a tea with the proper boba. All in all, Tea Plus has a few star-dishes, and a few bad eggs, it all depends on how you order!

I so wanted to enjoy this. Intrigued by the looping video of noodle process...cute place. However, my noodles had plastic taste. Not sure what that was, couldn't eat it. Maybe absorbed the storage container.

Good Food. They just changed to restaurant style from cafe over summer. Other than that, no change. We love Dan Dan noodle, Lamb Noodle, spicy dumpling & lamb burger
