The Klam'r Tavern and Marina

Stopped at nearby hotel on our way to Canada, did a search and up popped Klam'r.

Great location on the Mohawk river, nice green space across the street. Inside was what I'd describe as a joint, in the best sense.

Interesting decor, lively and popular at times. We were seated and then came the popcorn bowl and I'm thinking I don't want popcorn yet we ate it down anyway 😂

The steamed clams are definitely worth an order. The fish and chips was perfectly cooked. Not heavily breaded, not greasy, just perfectly cooked. Tender and delicious fish with food fries. The coleslaw had a sweetness to it from the pineapple, trust me it was good. My wife enjoyed the fish tacos.

Staff were friendly and service was good. We ate after the early dinner rush but finished before the party crowd got there.

It's a bit out of the way but you'll be happy you came here.

The Clam Chowder was ourltstanding. The rest of the food was very good also. Lauren was a great server.

Order a sandwich took over an hour to get it. Service is beyond slow. Spoke with the owner, who I found to be extremely condescending would not recommend anybody go there and I definitely will never go there again

I had the Seafood Trio ( fried shrimp, fried fish, fried clam strips, and french fries and pineapple slaw. The meal was very good.

Thinks the boat launch parking lot is their overflow lot. Sorry, but no. I'll never eat here as a result of the sheer disrespect for people trying to launch, which is what that parking lot is for.

food was great. atmosphere was great and i enjoyed everything. the service was average though. our server, emma was very short and neglectful as i saw her sitting on her phone in front of us the whole time. it seemed the tables around me got great service. I saw her and another blonde haired server, with a sleeve of tattoos down her arms, complaining multiple times about being at work and wanting to leave. I understand the service industry but it seemed very unprofessional as i saw other tables being treated much better. Overall good establishment, just needs to tighten up the ship a bit.

Great food, Clare is right on top of things, are great bartender!

The Tavern has been in business a long time. Used to be called The Clam Steam Tavern. Was and maybe still is, a popular country music venue. My dad was a country and western singer and played there a lot in the 50's. Maybe even in the late 40's. A nostalgic band stand and dance floor is still there and looks like it is in use. The food is standard bar food but very good. I do not eat seafood however my wife does and really likes the clams. Enjoy eating on the outside porch. Will be back this summer.
