Never going back ever again!
I’ve been going to Anna for years and every year her price tag would go up significantly while the quality and taste steadily declined. Last straw was when she tried to charge over $50 add on, on top of the $175 she was charging for a birthday cake the day before the pickup. Never again

First time buying at Anna’s. I bought a cheesecake with a chocolate coating on top and chocolate cake on the bottom. It looked pretty. I heard so many good things about this place and wanted to give it a try, but this cake was not good and it was expensive for 35$. Maybe it was old? It wasn’t what I expected. I brought it to a party, and kinda felt embarrassed. It was hard to slice as the chocolate top layer was so thick and you had to physically break it apart, then the cheesecake itself, I’m not sure what it was made of but it tasted stale, the bottom chocolate cake part was okay, but overall it tasted like it was in the fridge/freezer for some time? I also tried their yellow cake pop cookie dough and it was just all weird tasting, the outside layer was very sugary and hard to bite and there was lots of it before you get to the cookie dough, at which point I didn’t event bother to eat. It didn’t even taste like chocolate, more like food coloring? For almost 5$ I expected more. Their powdered jelly doughnut wasn’t so bad but it did have a weird aftertaste, I can’t describe it but I did finish it. That was at least reasonably priced at 2$.

Anna‘s bakery has made many delicious and beautiful cakes for all of the special occasions in my family, and they are always thoughtful and helpful in the process. Their cakes, pastries, and cookies are the absolute best. Every time I go in there with my daughter, they are so sweet to her and make her feel so loved! Thank you for your kindness, talent and amazing service!

Anna's bakery has the best cakes in the tri-state area. We have bought cakes from Anna for more than a decade and no one else compares. What separates Anna's cakes are that they are made by her rather than by employees. Chocolate mousse cake is our favorite.

So grateful to be able to buy a cake for an engagement party on Easter Sunday at Anna’s Bakery. This is my first time to buy a cake from this bakery and it did not disappoint me. The staff are all friendly, helpful and professional. So happy to find a new bakery in the neighborhood.
I did not opened the box while I was in the bakery. I only opened it at home. The writing on the cake gave me so much laughter and joyful smile all day. The error of the spelling “Happy Engament” added fun to our surprise engagement party for my son and his fiancée. That writing even added to the delicious taste of the cake. We all devoured and enjoyed it. I could not blame the nice staff for this simple error of the spelling. She volunteered to do the writing on the cake despite her hectic schedule because it’s a busy Easter Sunday morning. Thank you! I shall return! I also enjoyed the Pignoli cookies with my coffee.

I requested a specialty cake for my daughter’s first birthday party, for 15 people. It was absolutely amazing and delicious! All of my guests loved the cake and asked where it was from. Anna and her staff worked hard to make it just as I specified and it turned out even better than I dreamed of! Thank you again! Would recommend this bakery for any kind of cake and their cookies are so yummy too!

For a $50 cake I was very disappointed. Ordered raspberry filled yellow cake with buttercream icing. The cake had only three layers of cake and two layers of overstuffed raspberry filling. It was like eating an overfilled jelly donut. Out 10 it was a 5. The icing was over sweetened and took away from the flavor of the cake. Last time I will order a cake from them.
Their pastries were excellent.
Live and learn.

This is the best bakery in New York by far. Everytime I am in the area from CT I need to get the triple chocolate cake. It is the best thing your mouth will ever taste. It is so good that it makes me want to give Anna a hug. The triple chocolate cake is just one of the many good things from here. Do yourself a favor and stop here next time you’re in congers.

My family has been enjoying Anna's Bakery for as long as I can remember. We have never been disappointed and everything is always delicious!
Best Authentic Anisette Biscotti I ever had! Such good quality anise used that it actually knumbed my tongue a bit! The Almond Biscotti was the bomb too! Great bakery! I will definitely be back when I'm in town again.
