“TAINO is a small spot on Middle Country Rd in Coram... don't drive past! I visited in the mid afternoon on a Saturday. It wasn't busy but they were starting to gear up for a busy night - our waitress was also the bar tender and hostess... she was hustling all over, yet was courteous and friendly.
The food was very good. Beef empanadas were excellent. I had the Mangu Tres Golpes (pictured) which was awesome. It went well with my mango mojito that was also made very well. I'll definitely be returning!“

“Had the pleasure of choosing Tara Inn for lunch today, every establishment can learn a lesson from the customer service that my friend and I experienced. Upon walking in we were greeted by Peter, Tara’s husband and son-in-law of the founder who named the bar for his daughter 47 years ago. We told him it was our first visit and he offered us seats and welcomed us. The regulars at the bar guided us through the menu and we each had a burger with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles for $1 per burger expecting very small burgers we were surprised to find them standard sized and deliciously prepared to medium. My friend had the fried shrimp and I had a $13 steamed lobster! Excellent! They offer daily specials and one of the gentleman at the bar told me their steaks are very good. Every staff person went out of their way to make us feel at home. A charismatic women came out from the back and introduced herself as Tara she thanked us for choosing to lunch there. Why can’t other places realize the importance of making a first time patron feel welcome. I
Had a great afternoon enjoying the excellent variety of beers that they provide on tap. The charming decor has probably changed little since the ‘70s and that adds to the vibe. If you want to go to the friendliest bar on Long Island, head over to Tara Inn.“

“Wanted to give a huge shout out to the Tap Room (Patchogue) (specifically the Patchogue location). We were invited to a family party, buffet-style. I reached out to the restaurant via email, because I wanted to make sure they could accommodate my daughters food allergies -- eggs, soy, sunflower seeds, tree nuts and peanuts, or I would plan ahead and pack snacks she could safely eat instead. The Culinary Director, Joseph Walsh, called me the next day. He spoke to me for awhile, went over her food allergies, made some suggestions, and assured me that he would come up with something she could safely eat. The morning of the party, he sent me an email to confirm we were coming and his suggestions for a safe meal (rice and beans sauteed with bell peppers, chicken cutlet w/ no egg, and a mixed fruit salad). I emailed him back that just rice and beans and the fruit salad would be fine, because she doesn't eat chicken. He emailed me back, concerned that rice and beans and a fruit salad wouldn't be enough, but I assured him it would be fine because she's only 7 and has anxiety over trying new foods at restaurants (understandably), so sticking with rice and beans and fruit salad, which she's comfortable with, would be perfect. At the event, Joseph told my relative that he wanted to talk to us, and when we arrived, he came to introduce himself, told me that he was making sure everything was prepared separately and would be ready for her shortly. Absolutely fantastic service. We truly, truly appreciated all his care and effort, because that's sadly not the norm most of the time when we try to eat out. After we played a few games he introduced to some of other guys and gals there. Really nice time for me. When in the area I go back, very relaxing.

“Used to go here for metal shows when it was Finns. Glad to see the local scence is still alive and well here. Love their stage room. The black lights and the black light recsssive images along with the color changing lights pointed at the pictures make an awesome effect. The sound quality is very good. The art everywhere is great. The bartender was also kind and made good drinks. The bathrooms were clean and upkept well.“

“Love it, super clean, super fun, great patrons and staff. Prices are actually on point with some stuff competitively fixed. Contrary to "the kings" review (who happens to be a former staffs ex) there are ZERO bugs. The photo he left isn't even of any area in or at Misfits. It's a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere with great music choices, pool, darts, a variety of food, huge variety of drinks, tap beer, ipas, and seasonal drinks. Frozen menu and summer lemonade types/margaritas are delicious. Bartenders are all awesome, the best around.“

“While traveling for my son’s baseball tournament in Yaphank, NY my family and friends stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant!! Everything from the food to the staff is incredible!! I highly recommend this place and so did everyone else we went with (we brought 15 people with us). Everyone cleaned their plate and these are not small portions! The food is extremely fresh and there is a great sense of pride in their product. We loved our experience here and we will absolutely return when we come back in August!!“

“Came here on a whim the other night and had an amazing time. The people here were so friendly and kind. The bartender Sue (lol idk how to spell it) she was a gem helped me feel really comfortable. The drinks were reasonably priced. The people here take pool seriously though so bring your game face. Parking was easy & I suggest paying & tipping with cash. “As a musician who has played so many bars all over NY state I must say the environment at Tailgsters is so incredibly special. First, they treat the bands with love and respect. It should be the norm but sadly it’s not always the case. They go above and beyond. From the ownership to every single enologee that works there, it’s impossible not to absolutely love every person associated with this bar. The crowd is great and super friendly and safe and I genuinely look forward to playing there again. They treat their customers, staff; and performers like family. Really like family. I am so grateful that we’ve played there twice and I’m already looking to playing there again. Michelle behind the bar is a genuinely great person and makes awesome drinks, but every single person there is so approachable and engaging. I can recommend Tailgsters as a genuinely fun environment that treats everyone like family. I look forward to just visiting when I’m not playing. Impressed is a huge understatement. “So let me tell you about “The Royal Pub”. This is a Pub that is Cash Only, and shares it’s parking lot with neighboring businesses. As you enter, you’ll notice that The Bar Area is placed against the wall on the left hand side of the building. There’s about 5 beers on tap, with plenty of bottled beer, canned beer, and hard liquors in-stock. There’s no food, but do they have snacks, such as chips. They offer a ATM, Dart Board, Disco Ball, Happy Hour, Multiple TV’s at various sizes, Pool Table, TouchTunes, and they play Quick Draw here. There’s separate restrooms for men and women, and smoking can be done either out front or out back. They even have a Bouncer there on the weekends. It’s a small pub, so seating may be limited. But it’s perfect for small to midsize groups of people to attend. Its unique feature is the bar’s countertop, which is made up of pennies. This place has a fun and relaxing atmosphere about it, and worth checking out. Thanks to Kimberly, who was The Bartender today.“

“I had the pleasure of experiencing SpyCoast food tent at my daughter's lacrosse tournament at Farmingdale State College this past weekend, and it exceeded all my expectations. Despite being a pop-up food tent, the service was incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Meghan was especially helpful and kind, making the ordering process a breeze. Jaden, the cook, was the happiest chef I've ever met, even on such a hot and humid day. His positive attitude was infectious and added to the overall great experience!

I had the bacon cheeseburger and my daughter had a grilled cheese, both of which were cooked to perfection by Jaden himself. The bacon cheeseburger was delicious and flavorful, while the grilled cheese was perfectly crispy and cheesy.

I went in with low expectations, given it is a food tent and it was over 90 degrees that day, but SpyCoast truly impressed me. I highly recommend stopping by their tent if you get the chance!“
