Painters is a popular neighborhood restuarant/bar. Bartenders are friendly. Food is usually good. My only problem was when we held a large party a few years ago, the room we rented was hot an very uncomfortable.
My husband and I went there for a quick happy hour after work. We sat at the bar and Gabby was our bartender. Awesome ?. It was just what I needed after a long week of work. Gabby had a great attitude. Loved my drink, the food, and the music. We would definitely recommend.

Went there for the first time with my wife. We are new to the area (after living in NYC for 45 years), the locals gave it good reviews.The decor is 1960s rural farmhouse. The odor hits you when you go in: damp and musty. I am guessing that the carpeting retains the odors. Why restaurants have carpeting is beyond me: spills no doubt happen daily, you likely need to shampoo-clean them daily, and the smells never come completely out, and then you have to contend with the cheap perfume...read full review
