What can I say.... Mario is truly the Boss of Bosses... that old Italian style that no longer exists.... but you can feel the lack of it... he reminded me a lot of my uncle Domenico when he ran his restaurant in Italy. Truly a blast from the past, it made me feel like I was back in time, in the splendid years that will never return. Mario you are a national asset. Italian cuisine, a little Americanized by the abundance of seasoning, but it's fine. The important thing is that Mario is there!!!!

Triangalo has been on my 'to try' list for years and I was so happy to finally visit. We arrived for an early dinner and had the place to ourselves. I'd say by 6:30/7 the place was hopping on a Saturday night, so reservations are a good idea. Parking could be challenging, however they do have a few spots in the back of the building. The vibe is cozy and charming and the service friendly and attentive. We started off with the baked clams which were lovely and tender with a great sauce to mop up with some bread. The Triangolo Salad included Mesclun greens, tomatoes, black olives & roasted red peppers topped with shaved Parmigiana. This was the perfect acidity pop that we needed to get our taste buds going. I couldn't wait for the entrees to be served. I was excited to see Amatriciana on the menu as you don't see it often. It was served with rigatoni and it was excellent. Perfectly cooked pasta with the most delicious sauce; bite after bite, it kept getting better. The Veal alla Grappa was a unique dish served with fermented grapes and a creamy grappa sauce; again the flavors were excellent. With all the great dishes we had already, we were up for dessert. The homemade tiramisu was outstanding, really one of the best I've ever had.Triangolo isn't a spot to run in for a quick meal, everything is made to order and takes time, but let me tell you the food is worth is, because it's amazing.

What happened last night? We had a 6pm reservation for 12 people for a graduation dinner. We even spoke with someone on the phone. We showed up at 6pm and not only were all of the doors chained up with pad locks, but no one answered the phone. We pulled into your tiny parking lot hoping that we were missing something. Unfortunately, we were not missing anything. The restaurant was closed and chained up. We looked it up and it even said opened online. Thanks to you, we took out party of 12 and had to find a different restaurant.

If you're looking for a great Italian restaurant, I highly recommend checking out " Il Triangolo" in the heart of Corona, Queens.First and foremost, the food is outstanding. They offer a wide range of traditional Italian dishes, from homemade pastas and bread to fresh seafood, chicken and veal dishes. Each dish is expertly prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients and bursting with authentic Italian flavor. The atmosphere is also fantastic. The restaurant has a cozy, intimate feel

Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. Service was excellent! The owner was making small talk with several tables. The servers gave great recommendations and was very attentive. Food was excellent! We chose several of the specials (apps and the LGM dish) and some classics (spaghetti and meatballs). All were delicious and generously portioned. Loved the atmosphere too. Seemed like it would be a great place to get together for celebration dinners. Loved it and will be back again.

amazing food. when we first arrived they warned us service would be slow. it was totally worth the wait. we had bread and drinks waiting for our food. we tried the lemon shrimp risotto and the Mets fusili. both were amazing and packed with flavor. the home made pasta was fresh and had a nice texture

Beware of the filet Mignon when it's really a deep fried pork chop. Service is good but misleading. Pasta was not freshly made like we were told. Carafe of sangria is $48. On top of that I threw up from spoiled food, my son in law had diarrhea and my girlfriend threw up after eating leftovers next day. I can't believe this, never had this before.

Tucked away in the heart of Corona (Once a vibrant Italian American community; now a melting pot of Asian and Latino immigrants) stands Il Triangolo. The area is obviously sketchy if you're an out of towner but having grown up here in Corona and a product of immigrants I did not at all feel threatened by the hard working foreigners try to carve out a piece of the American dream. Anyway the food is great. I ordered the special of the day which was at least 10oz of pork chop breaded and deep fried with a delicious mix of grape vine tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella. The Calamari and Clams appetizers were also delicious. The Sangria was refreshing and was accompanied by a medley of fresh sliced fruits and a hint of lemon zest. Expect to spend about $70+ per person. Take the 7 train to 90th street then walk about one mile south thru the richly cultural streets.

This is the craziest prices ever! I paid 14 dollars for a seltzer water that’s 2.59 in a store! 20 dollars for fried calamari and 40 DOLLARS FOR RIGATONI ALLA VODKA! They charged me 16 dollars for 4 shrimps!!!!!!! I paid 80 dollars for my food and it was just me. Never again! This place is not in the city of Manhattan is in Corona! I would expect this in the city! The food wasn’t even worth these prices! The food didn’t have no salt! And the restaurant was empty. Won’t be coming back here.

The food and dining experience was really mediocre. We waited over 45 mins for our mains to come out and when it did come out, the taste was very disatisfying. My porkchop tasted like a chicken parm from a college dining hall drenched in sauce, and my spaghetti tasted like the leftover spaghetti you reheat with jar sauce poured on top.My boyfriend ordered veal and I can't even describe how unpleasant the texture was for his sides and how overcooked the veal was.Not sure why it was rated this high tbh...
