I was so disappointed to have invited someone to go with me. It was my birthday and my companion is in her 60s. They only gave me part of my meal for my birthday price and refused to give my guest her discount. Stating we could either get hers discounted or my Birthday special, not both. I will never suggest Denny's to anyone ever again! At least not the one in Cortland! I always thought Denny's prided itself on family values and family unity. Based on the reviews, Denny's Restaurant offers flavorful food and a great place to eat. The chef’s are phenomenal and make accommodations for a vegetarian diet. A customer had the best burger in a long while, specifically the new He-man burger. Another enjoyed the grand smash with fries, calling it delish, paired with a rich and creamy hot chocolate. The food can be stellar, and the eggs, toast, and coffee are done well. However, some food is fair at best, with bacon having no flavor and shriveled sausage links. The breakfast was not worth the money. Service is often great, with friendly servers who provide great customer service and patience, even when given a hard time by other tables. One server was very pleasant and helpful. However, service can also be inattentive, with no drink refills and customers having to grab silverware from other tables. The Grand Slam starting at $5.99 led to a shocking bill of $37.00 for two people.
