Absolutely amazing dining experience.... Amazing burgers with fresh ingredients. Amazing staff. The one girl even tried to help me find old wine from their reserve.. this was our first time visiting and WILL NOT be our last... great food and service..

It's a quirky little hot dog/hamburger joint - the vibe is right for what it is. The meals are sloppy and served in paper boats on plastic cafeteria trays, just as you'd expect. Be ready to get your hands dirty but the flavors are great.Vegetarian options: The black bean burger tasted homemade rather than a store bought frozen alternative. Can be swapped on any burger for no additional charge.

I've eaten at Commander's Palace, Emeril, and a host of other incredible restaurants. The pouting I just ate may be the best thing I ever put in my mouth. Literal food Crack. I am now addicted. And that's just fine.Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly. Low key family joint.

I wanted to love this place and went with high expectations. Facility was as expected, servers were very polite, but the food was a disappointment. We both had the bratwurst with the kraut treatment. The kraut was cold (intentionally) which really detracted from the sandwich. The Mustard was REALLY hot, so hot that my wife couldn't eat it. I was expecting a good beer selection, but most of the draft selections were sours or goses, not what I was in the mood for.

Worst hotdog I ever had. Hot mustard over kill with fresh dill. Tasted like perfume. Bun was overloaded with cold kraut. Worst lunch I've had in years. One visit and never again!

Good but not great food. Overall a good concept, and play on words.

Let me start by saying that it pains me not to be able to give FLX Winery a higher rating. I actually wanted to give it two stars but the warm welcome and very friendly service provided by the two young girls who were working that day definitely warranted an extra star. Let me get right to the food ratings ..... from one star, poor, to five stars outstanding. Bratwurst ** Zweigel Red Hot *** Burger - Plain Jane * Fresh Fries Lake Salt **** Vanilla Milk Shake **** Note, none of the three main meat dishes we tried were rated highly ..... price played a big part here in my rating. We just felt the quality of the food being served was generally very pricey and thus the lack of perceived value negatively impacted our rating. The Red Hot got our highest rating of 3 stars ....it could have gotten 4 stars if the sauerkraut had been heated. Who serves cold sauerkraut on a hot dog ???? Is the dog too hot and needs to be cooled down ? Forgive my humor. The fries and milk shake were both very good. I'm not sure if they ran out of regular fries because what we were served were not your usual looking fries... these had the appearance of tater puffs which none the less were still very crisp and tasty. There was a VERY strange collection of drinks to choose from .....burbon with hot dogs, who would have thought ??? We did not partake in any wine and the fridge containing cold, canned beverages was clearly tailored to those who have more exotic drink preferences..... and deep pockets. No where could I find a basic Coke or just a bottle of Apple Cider which would have been the perfect compliment to an All American lunch of a hot dog and fries. You cant leave this place without dropping $20+ /person for a hot dog lunch with side dish and cold drink. To me that remains pricey for a self serve establishment out in the country side.

Excellent roadsite lunch spot! The bratwurst was to die for, the traditional German mustard was delicious. 10/10 would also recommend the chili poutine!

What can I say? Like a typical, hole in the wall, mom & pop place it's was great. The Brat was traditional German style with a very good German style brown mustard. I was feeling adventurous and got the chili poutine, which was very good, with seasoned fried potatoes, highly peppered gravy (which I can understand people not being fans of) and delicious cheese and chili. The prices might be a little high, but considering the flashbacks I got of my trip to Germany, completely worth it. Highly recommend for those that have taste buds for diverse food styles instead of everyday Americanized food.

I loved the juxtaposition of unassuming roadside hot dog stand with a wine fridge containing Grand Cru Bordeaux and a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle. The fries are incredible. The dogs good. The staff knowledgeable and friendly. What a cool roadside attraction. My only regret is that this good review won't make the wall of fame in the bathroom because I have nothing awful to say and no vitriol to spew.

We heard about this place before we left for our FLX trip, so we made it a point to stop here on our way outta town. Great simple concept, and a surprisingly superb bourbon selection with very fair prices. The highlight of the place is def the friendly and welcoming lady working the counter. Couldn’t have been better service. Now, the food. The best was the bratwurst. Big link and tasty. A little dry imo so maybe not enough fat. But overall was easily the best item. The homemade mustard was pasty thick and very little bite. The burger and hot dog buns were pretty dry. The burger had a creative topping, but the meat was torched. The hot dog itself was pretty average tbh. I was surprised by this because if you’re calling yourself “Weinery”, make sure the weiners blow people away. The chili was overwhelming with tomato paste and just not much flavor. I’ve been to a boatload of gourmet dog places around this country and this place doesn’t even sniff the conversation as one of the standouts. Supposedly a Michelin star chef opened this joint. I feel bad but gotta say that I agree with some of the reviews that say it was very average since they were expecting so much better food. I understand the prices, everything is high cost these days with labor, product, inflation, fixed costs, etc. So the prices are not shocking at all and are to be expected. Just look at the pic though of the reviews in the bathroom. Def written by a sensitive chef. Bad reviews are a nature of the biz, you can’t win everyone over. Read those reviews and tell me how they are “slanderous”? Slanderous is like someone who didn’t even eat there and trashes your biz with lies, not people giving you some honest tough love about your food. Again, I gotta agree with some of those assessments, but of course a Michelin chef will get their panties in a bunch about any criticism at all. Maybe the kitchen had an off day like every place does once in awhile. They were very kind people and I do wish them continued success. If most of the patrons and regulars are happy, then that’s what matters most. I don’t feel the need to hurt anyone’s biz, so that’s the 5 stars.

The food here is honestly not mind blowing, I come for the wine. The fact that they offer really cool old or rare bottles sourced from private collections is super interesting and worth popping in to see what you can find and try.

The sausage was fine. They got rid of their delicious fries and replaced them with "crispy potatoes". They are huge undercooked (still solid in the middle), under seasoned, and under flavored chunks of potatoes with a bunch of grease at the bottom. Not one of the 3 people in our group ate them. Been customers and fans for years but not excited to come back.
