Great riesling, loved the atmosphere. Staff was super well educated on their farming practices!

Anyone that doesn't rate this winery 5 stars has no palate. I have been to Germany and visited their best (Prum, Haag, von Schubert, Kerpen and others). I know what great Riesling is. This winery hits greatness whereas others are very good, at best. There are some new wineries that show great promise but they are all vying for #2.

We visited here in mid-July on a whim, and it wasn’t the greatest experience. It’s clearly a very popular winery but we did not realize that we needed to make reservations in advance for the tasting room. They awkwardly left us standing in the entryway while they checked to see if they could accommodate us doing a tasting, which was kind of off-putting and made us feel unwelcome. They said we could do a tasting, but we would have to go sit on the deck outside, which was actually fine by me because I don’t need someone to give me a guided tasting. The grounds were beautiful, and the deck area was actually preferable to the interior of the winery. Overall it seemed stuffy and snooty, and the visit left a bad taste in my mouth. I wasn’t a big fan of the any of the wines, and did not purchase any bottles to take home. We seemed like an inconvenience to the staff. Next time we visit the area, we’ll visit one of the many other wineries instead.

Been coming to the lakes for 20 years. Always a place we stop in at.

This is our favorite winery in the Finger Lakes. Very professional ambiance and great wines!

Wonderful estate with such an elegant ambiance. We did a tour + wine tasting here. Service was excellent. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about wine and fielded all our questions. Such a rich history and culture... learned a lot and brought home a bottle of my favorite wine from the ones we sampled!

Poor experience. Arrived with a group of 8. They had no problem accommodating our group, which was great! Each couple shared a tasting but they put it ALL in the same carafe and we had split it between 8 glasses. The reason was because they didn't want all the dirty glassware. Not the traditional finger lakes experience and very disappointing. We felt unwelcome.

Reservations are recommended. They can sometimes accommodate walk-ins. The self guided flight is 4 predetermined wines and average price, but you won't learn about the wines. The other tasting option is guided, and you pay per taste as many you'd like.Outdoors there are picnic tables, geese, and a kitty.

This place is fantastic! The wine is the best we’ve had in the finger lakes. Their a la carte tasting is perfect. Loved this so much, will gladly come back!

My friends hyped this place up and I can say it was a disappointing visit. First off, be sure to have a reservation! My party of 4 did not and the lady running the counter made us feel bad about it, like it was an inconvenience. The room for walk-in tastings was pretty empty so, not sure why we were given an attitude. 3 of us had a flight, which is a flight of preselected wines. No interaction regarding the wines on the flight other than the paper they give you to go along with it. Also, they give you what is supposed to be enough wine for each person to sample from the mini carafe. Looking around the room at other guest's flight carafes...a flight for 2 people were filled to the same level as our flight for 3 people...not sure how that is right. Not in a rush to go back here but would be curious if the experience would be better with a reservation.

Holy cow what a beautiful experience. It was pretty busy around lunchtime on a rainy Tuesday and even with a fuller tasting room, the service was still very thoughtful and they took a little time to chat and make us feel welcome. Wines are incredible.

Asthetic vineyard with a wide varied selection of wines. Pleasant setting. Would recommend making a reservation.

Amazing! Every single wine (reds, whites, rosés, dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet) was perfection. The staff was also very friendly, helpful, and educational. The ambience was great, and if you’re a fan of Rieslings you MUST visit. The co-owners were out and speaking with guests—it’s clear they are invested in creating a great environment and wine tasting experience (in addition to crafting wonderful wines). If you don’t visit, you’ll be missing out.
