Great wines- we always stop here and buy a few bottles! They save their vintage and release older wines which are so tasty! Love, love, love that this is a father-son team and one of them is always there to greet us! Nice to meet the owners and see that they really love what they do!

Shaw is really a great spot if you’re here to taste terrific wine. Not for the tour buses and groups - it’s a place to learn about the FLX and taste the potential of these grapes. And Shaw has some aged magnums for sale that you won’t find anywhere else. Highly recommended.

Shaw Vineyard offers high-quality wines and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The owners and staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, providing excellent service. Their red wines, especially the Cab Franc, receive high praise for their depth and complexity. Shaw is considered a hidden gem in the Finger Lakes Region, known for producing some of the biggest, full-bodied red wines in the state. The tasting experience is personalized, allowing ample opportunity to ask questions about the grapes, farming practices, and wine-making styles.
What sets Shaw Vineyard apart is the emphasis on older wines, many with significant bottle aging, which enhances their quality at a reasonable price. Visitors should note that Shaw Vineyard is not a place for a quick wine stop or a party atmosphere; instead, it is a destination for those seeking exceptional wines from the region.
Although the property may appear rustic, it hides some excellent wines. Vigneron Steve Shaw, who occasionally interacts with guests during tastings, has created both whites and reds that surpass many others in the area. The six-wine tasting often leads to purchases of favorites like the Sauvignon Blanc, Cab Franc, and the 2017 Keuka Hill Reserve, which is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and a bit of Merlot. The aging process of five years or more for certain vintages highlights the care taken with each bottle. Shaw Vineyard provides a fantastic selection of wines to savor and encourages guests to stock up during their visit. This place is all about great wine. Shaw Vineyard has completely redefined what I thought was possible for red wine in our region. Their Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are both absolutely spectacular — rich, complex, and beautifully balanced, with depth and character you’d expect from a top-tier winery. The reds are bold without being harsh, smooth without losing structure, and full of flavor that lingers long after the last sip. Shaw easily has some of the best dry reds in the area. Their Cabernet Franc is fabulous!
